  1. Closed. Clearly a business, and against forum rules If you wish to advertise you are required to become a paying trader like all other businesses. 2. Anyone what? You've kinda been told... Either way nothing is indestructible. Just remember that. Driven poorly even a OS gearset can be broken easily enough.
  3. It's a Nissansilvia.com meet... No feeling needed!
  4. +1 You've really got nothing in this instance and that is the whole gamble you take with a car from the auctions. Win some, lose some really. I don't think legal aid are going to have much to say about it. The workshop will simply say it was an employee working rogue. If any case comes up, they will likely fire him and then that's the end of that from the workshop point of view. Generally when a timing belt lets go it means valves are going to be destroyed. Happened to many a person unfortunately and if valves are gone its highly likely the pistons have taken damage as well. With the amount of time and effort that's going to be required to get any recourse (and its slim IMO)... You'd be better served cutting losses and just buying a 2nd hand RB25, dropping in, selling.
  5. Probably just need a better plug to stop it occurring. Iridi are shit anyway. Once they foul, bin them and start again.
  6. I ain't got a tax return, wont for a month or two... But i did by myself a new tax season PC to depreciate haha
  7. Any exhaust system thats going to be quiet, is going to weigh a fair bit... that's just how it works. You could add a better muffler to the 3.5" system if you wanted. That would most certainly help, two = super quiet.
  8. I would not bother. Simply because aside from the octane rating - it's also the consistency of the fuel itself. You'd have to have the tune so doughy it's be absolutely pointless.
  9. Also the actual protein content in a single serving is much higher than just about all other brands on the market. So cheaper price, more protein per serve... Great value!
  10. Not as yet - have been working 6 days atm. I don't think it'll be an issue once i get around to talking with the people needed
  11. I think you'll find a 1.8T turbo @ 14psi will probably be flowing as much as a RB25DET turbo does at maybe 5-6psi Not just about pressure, it's also the airflow restriction and the ability to cool the air being sent
  12. Well for a while I've suspected the Nismo pump to not be "as much" of an upgrade over a stock GT-R pump as many would believe. It's simply the cheaper option so hence everyone goes down that road given a stocker is 10yrs old and offensively priced from Nissan There are some numbers on a stock GT-R pump below (makes for some interesting reading). http://www.stealth316.com/2-fuelpumpguide.htm
  13. So you are just worried about drag and not much else? If so then really no point going all out with big oil pumps, epic winged sumps etc. That's more for circuit. You are only running hard for 9 sec runs, it's a different ball game. Do the usual oil control modifications, ensure you don't sit on limiters and use a RB30 pump. (seems a typically good forumla) Ensure the block is well grout filled - probably the most important part. Put some good rods/pistons in there (and of course bolts). Port it to the heavens, put big cams & plenum on it - as at the end of the day loaded up on a transbrake, it's not going to matter all that much with a GT42 on it. 10k you should get away with it, but really for 150mph I think you'll be spending a tad more as it wi largely depend on how much you spend on the head more than the bottom end.
  14. I've not used a KU36, others i know have - and were not particularly impressed... However for the price, it was ok. However the price has gone up recently, making them a not-so-good option now for thier price. If you have RS-R, i'd stay with them or go AD08
  15. Whilst UTQG isn't the be all/end all... They have a rating of 200. So they are really just a high performance road tyre that let you run in the "street" classes for various events etc. Same as a AD08 / RS-3 (both of which are a better choice if going down that road).
  16. And yet i thought the RS-R were rubbish compared to AD08 having used both on the GTR It's horses for courses, i drove the ass off my AD08s for 12 months doing all manner of activities and they lasted better than i expected and performed well in all conditions (stuff like Mt Baw Baw sprints, i was only 40 sec off prepped/stripped tarmac EVOs on semis over 9-10min run).
  17. The RB30ET in a VL didn't, but that's not to say they didn't benefit greatly from the addition of one...
  18. Lets try keep it all in one place http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/404471-the-complete-ethanol-thread/ That said if you just plug "zeitronix" into the SAU search, you get a dozen threads (given that's what everyone uses)
  19. I think this thread needs to be locked if action isn't taken soon
  20. A proper semi slick/r-comp will never be quiet like a road tyre. They are all noisy.
  21. lol? Sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about... All of the ones listed in the first post, bar 1 - are street legal. Generally most R-Comps are street legal, except the hoosier/hankook/kumho single/dual groove items. Also sorry to say... KU36s or RS-Rs are not a semi-slick/R-comp at all. They are simply a high performance road tyre, nothing more than that.
  22. Oh come come now. You Daniels 34, tuned by Status - makes over 400 on E85 with just a Nismo
  23. Exactly - there is no set boost figure... End of the day the stock SMIC is rubbish. Without a proper ECU & tune, there is little point increasing boost as most ECU's hit the age old "rich/retard" mode when you increase boost to anywhere from 9-11psi. Some cars it kicks in at 8psi for example. It's just luck of the draw. A good tune will do more wonders for the car than just upping the boost and having the stock ECU shit itself.
  24. This is by far the most economical modification in the history of performance
  25. Suppose I'd have needed to actually reply/post, for your comment to make any sense?
