not sure what you mean about barrier to entry, but I'd guess you need to spend up to 200k to be competitive in Open and towards million(s) for Pro. we've got some guys on here who are playing in the big league but I've never seen ballpark budgets from someone who's done it

mate there is nothing wrong with your suspension on wheel choice, the tyres are just too wide for the rim. assuming you only use them for drags you may be OK (don't know their rules), but on the street you are asking for trouble from either cops or the insurance company after an accident for running illegal and unsafe wheels.

I ran 16145 and 15145 through Japanese Fast (I don't have the aussie one) and 15145 comes up as KH2. 16145 comes up as "invalid" as do a few others from your aussie vin list which means it is much more likely the correct vin is 16145. Well done pulling this info together.

I don't think there are factory heaters at the top of the screen...there are ones at the bottom of the screen under with wipers if you have the cold climate options. If they are stuck in the windscreen they are more likely to be tv aerials or similar. I just had my screen replaced too, and they removed and replaced the tv aerial and gps antenna fine on mine.

I ended up getting a local mob, complete windscreens to do it. quick, cheap, no obvious damage afterwards. was about $250. I have lost my windscreen wiper heaters now though....gonna be a major issue if all the scientists are wrong and we get hit with global cooling.

ugh. If it is in anyway related to the factory 6 stacker on my old 350z it is simply an unreliable piece of shit that needs to be thrown in the bin. or if you want a more positive view on it......you can probably have it repaired by a car audio repairer. until it dies again shortly

I'm not really familiar with that setup, but if you want to change the ride height of the car you need to undo the blue seat where the spring sits (2 rings locking onto each other), not the silver one you circled Does the silver nut hold the threaded section onto the shock?

On pressures, I'd run them at 32 normally as well (have used both softs and hard FZ201 before with great results) However, if you are getting faster towards the end of the session that says that they are working better as they get hotter/higher pressure. Or maybe you just get more confident with more laps

Good tip! If you find the 1/2" end is rounding off the plug a little you can buy 13mm square drives which will fit more snugly. And you could try heating the plug with a torch. But yes, sometimes not having the room to swing a long bar means you just can't DIY it without getting on a hoist

haha not just lazy; I think incar is boring unless there is a crash speaking of which, the session 1 vid ends when I leave the track at about 150 after failing to turn right at the kink. but even that isn't spectacular video....

Yeah sorry I don't believe that every racing team in the world was wrong. Hectic drifters want stretch because 1) narrow tyres are cheaper and 2)it is a fashion and that is about the only people who do it. I'll stick with the widest tyre I can fit on a given rim size except for 2 cases: 1/wet tyres. narrower can aquaplane less giving more grip (the long contact patch instead of wide pumps more water out) 2/dirt rally tyres. narrow tyres dig in better

I know that's not you being quoted mate, but it is not correct. No way is the smallest tyre for a given rim width going to give better grip than the widest tyre for that rim. Every racing category runs the widest tyres possible on the rim width for grip.

I hope the 295s can fit OK, I have a set for targa high country. BTW I ran the medium kumho V70A today...they were 1 sec quicker at 46psi than they were at 42psi. Strange. But true.
