This makes me wish I went down to Sydney with my folks instead of working now.....I would've saved my self some freight money from all the bits and pieces Ive just bought from you guys and I couldve have seen the GTR.....Hey I know Ill give you my parents if you give me that GTR ;)

this is awesome Just Jap Auto Imports have been there for me when i needed parts and have been nothing but top shelf service i cant think of any other company that deserves to have the first awesome GTR at the front of there shop.

good luck steve

One is a no brainer the ECU must be modified to remove the speed limiter.

does R35 even have a speed limiter?

if so how does a do an 11.6 sec quarter mile with a terminal speed of less than 180km/h?

feel free to flame me if i'm making a stupid comment ...

that video of the GTR assembly line is kool. i work for holden's and i'm pretty sure we don't put that sorta time and effort into our cars but i guess we're making a hell of a lot more neway.

Yes, it does have a speed limiter, which is integrated into the GPS system.

It most certainly does have a speed limiter, at 180. And apparently that is frustrating early on Oran Park's main straight. But Mines ECU has this sorted already.

Re the drag times, the speed limiter is GPS based and has the japanese tracks locations built in - it automatically removes the limit there .

Please dont take offence to this, its nothing personal but those pics make me sad.

To think the car came from a multi-million dollar state of the art assembly line, worked on by highly trained people only a few weeks prior

to this...

Will be good to see it at the Targa but just wished it was worked on in a workshop/paintshop more like the race teams.

Again, no offence just stating an opinion.. Goodluck in the Targa.

Ok, I see your point. My bad. :glare:

Yeah sorry... I just don't like reading dribble anywhere, and I had photographic evidence of the exact opposite to what was being said... thought I might just straighten people out :D

I can't wait for an update on the 35...

Can't wait to hear it with an aftermarket exhaust... I hear it has 4 cat converters and 2 mufflers (may be 2 cats, 4 mufflers, i forget) so a decent exhaust, especially one that isn't bogged down by noise and emission laws should sound insane! :P

Video in this link, 0 cats, 0 mufflers as far as I know, sounds good.

have you seen the nissan engine assembley vid hardly high tech compaired with lambos line

Looks pretty sweeeet!

does anyone if its gonna run the targa in standard trim, or is it gonna be tweaked a bit?

Given that there's a $80k limit and need for Oz availability for the "official" showroom category, I'd say it will run in category M2 (unless it's possibly into M1 based on standing start performance?), ie, gunning for outright placing against everyone else. M2 allows stuff like suspension/brake/ECU upgrades, but no big turbos/intercoolers etc...

Or Ferraris. Now if the car was handbuilt, and i mean completely handbuilt, i wouldnt want ANYONE messing with anything.

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
