Awsome, I plan on trying to make that event too. what a track to race at. I went out there april last year for an untimed sprint day. there was a race meeting the day after so i guess we were sweeping the track for them. By days end I was clocking regular 60 sec laps. I imagine racing there and on the new surface will be totaly different though.

found some incar form Gatton this year in the same car

And Lakeside last year from early in the day before the battery went flat. I was pulling 5th before the bridge after lunch and got braver onto the front straight. Damm batteries.

cool! yeah, Lakeside has to be the best track I've ever driven! The new surface is a bit quicker. Still bumpy, but its a bit grippier and the turn onto the front straight is wider as is the kink, which is a bit of a shame as its taken a bit of the challenge out of it. Rest of the track is the same, just resurfaced.

Here's my lap of Lakeside in my Supra (sold it last week) earlier this year on the new surface:

Thanks..It was towards the end of the day when I slapped on some used 225s to see if it made a difference. Kinda forgot that I needed to warm up the tyres abit more. Previously always using 205s..Interestingly, times dropped by slightly more than a second once the 225s were up to temp..
