  • 1 year later...

Well it's a year later and i might actually get around to spraying the damn car. Does anyone know the colour code for Calsonic or LM Blue?

Also, has anyone seen one with this colour on the road? Any pics would be great.

Hey guys just revisiting an old topic. Finally got the money and motivation to get my car sprayed, decided I want to go with this:

There is a distinct difference between the LM Blue and the Calsonic, and I would prefer to go the Calsonic. Will a good sprayer be able to match the colour exactly?

I would love to paint this car for you!

I have painted many Nissans, Skylines and Silvias, and actually have SAU members cars in my panel shop right now!

Please give me a call anytime if you would like to speak about getting your car painted.

do you even know what the exact colour is suposed to look like? seen it in person a couple times to know the difference? i highly doubt u could tell the difference between exact colour and something pretty close

Wow you're really spamming up/advertising threads aren't you? ^^ Pay a trader fee if you wanna advertise. You probably charge an arm and a leg for work anyway.

Thankyou for your concern tom. i have no problem paying a trader fee, actually have tried contacting SAU about it in the past.

I not spamming, i am simply offering help to fellow SAU members as i am back in operation after having some time off.

And i give my full attention to every pant job i do for a customer. I do not charge an 'arm and a leg' rather i charge a reasonable price, but always give a customer more than what they have paid for.

Thankyou for your input tom :)

I've only seen it in person once, but there's a pretty big difference between the BT2 and the Calsonic Blue. As I don't have a colour code it's going to be hard to match I guess. Going off the photos it looks to be a few shades lighter than BT2.

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
