I win!!!!

I had some kid hit me (he aqua planed into a guard rail then came onto my side of the road, I had a ditch or his car to hit, "tough choice really") while I was driving my girlfriends mums car in the rain (coming back from getting a mates dogs inside because of the weather). Now have to go through bullshit insurance shit. Pretty pissed off.

My condolences for everyone who has had their cars f**ked. :D

GTR was under carport as was wife's new Dualis, we learned the hard way back in 2003 when the 100 year storm hit the Eastern suburbs and there where cars floating down the FWY etc, Burke Road was like a river torrent in the bosses GTiR driving up it was like you were in a jetski with massive rooster tails on each side of the car.

Anyway, that time her 2 month old Mirage got destroyed but they fixed it via insurance with paintless dent removal. Came up brand spankers again.

Lucky we didn't get bad hail in Melton, just pea to 5c piece sized. Lots of rain though, backyard was flooded and the bloodey SHAMWOW did fark all at soaking up the water!!

Here's the Backyard and the laswt one is the water from the back going down the drive to the front, bloody Tuscan Topping and clay soil means no drainage!!

The Skyline was out in the drive, but I heard about the hail coming so I put it into the garage... lucky! My sister's Lancer and mum's Camry were parked outside... both got heaps of dents :D

I found this whopper of a hailstone on the back lawn...

this landed in a mate's yard

holy fkn jesus! that would have taken someones fkn head off!

its good to see a lot of people are taking this incident with a good sense of humour. i know i got a really good laugh at on point where i drove into a flooded lane and drowned a dude standing in the gutter LOL

Thank fuck insurance is paying up!

Just gota get the windscreen fixed, pay for it, Just Cars will Re-enburst the cost.

Got my Claim Number just then, now need a quote on the panel damage from any panel beater, Just Cars will give the Go Ahead and all I have to pay is $500 excess.

A 2nd hand bonnet alone would have cost $500+

:D

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
