OK so I got my new grill today....sprayed it up and fitted it.

Thoughts!!

P.S. I just figured out my bonnet is out of lineblush.gif

In my old age I am starting to LUV black.

Some gentleman ran into the side of the N/A today. Not too bad, about $1500. We were stopped at a light and the dude just drove into the rear P/S bar.

Thats fairly impressive, you managed to take two photo, minutes apart & from an identical position, with your finger over the lens both times :P

Looks good !

lol.....which one....I confused.....I know I like both!wacko.gif

P.S. It's the case on my Iphone4 not my finger's leaving the mark...lol!

The new one, probably because its a bit similar to mine :whistling:

ahh damn! glad youre ok mate

i think they need to do annual testing of older drivers from 70 now.

i got taken out by a 74yo lady who said she had a green arrow to turn. except she wasnt at that intersection.

I've been saying that for over a decade. If they can clamp down on p-platers driving turbo cars, how about annual testing for those idiot elderly drivers!

I see elderly people making big traffic blunders all the time. At least twice a year we get them driving the wrong way down the freeway/expressway.

The conditions today were clear, dry roads, total visibility ... yet he didn't see me  Time to give it up gramps.

Just put a 32gtr blow off valve on the M35. fits nicely, sounds better...

just need to find a radiator hose i can stick in to make it plumb back again..

i dont really know what this is going to achieve however. i was bored and had the car apart in the garage

Bought one: http://www.northshoreprestige.com.au/view.php/used_cars/2001_Nissan_Stagea_250tRS_FOUR_White_5_Speed_Automatic_Wagon/4470190/

Does that count? :P

Plan at the moment is major service first and foremost.

Then need to decide next move. Intake runner spacer, exhaust, coilovers or front mount probably. Still undecided.

Yeah, I reckon that counts  .

I love what happens when you click on the link. It says "Sorry an inventory issue has ocurred". Interesting way of saying the car has been sold.

blacked out the headlights today, had to take the left one out to fix the seal as i saw condensation in there other day.. and thought while im at it may as well get the blacking out of the way.. I love the look..

did the oil and filter aswell.. once i put it all back together my engine check light came on.. anyone have any thoughts as of why??

im thinking when i moved the airbox and bumped the A/F meter just the usual amount when moving nothing violent..

it shoudnt be to do with the lights right??

anyways enough work for today i will run diagnostics tomoro.. see what i find..

car runs fine no different at all..

anyway pics

Nah, won't have anything to do with the lights.

Did you have the car running with the AFM unplugged? Doing so always brings up the CEL.

If so, it will go away after a little while.

    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
