lol

tbf tho, cant see me having another holden anytime soon. clubby hasnt given me any issues, considering its a 12 year old car im very happy, but ive had my big engine phase for a while now.

how do you design a car that goes through wheel bearings every 20-40K

And you need to angle grind the bearings off the hub.

Bring back tapered roller bearings, pack em with your palm full of grease and they go for years.

I'm with you after this one never again.

that bad really?! wow.

my sister focus had a clutch that used to slip real bad... ford wouldnt replace it even tho it was 12000km old, they took it out said there was no signs of wear or anything and put it back in.

guess what.

never slipped again until she sold it 10000km later.

shame about the rest of the car tho, indicator stalks failing, stereo dying, air con f**king up etc etc.

It seems that 3/4 of cars that I see on the road with tail lights out are VE's...

Every single day I go... "ANOTHER ONE!"

It's as bad as seeing a car blow smoke when moving away from the lights, and then going... Yep, it's a Magna...

same with my kia. 2 years old. blows a headlight ever 3-6 months. kia have no idea why.

picked my A5 up yesterday, over the moon with it!

had ceramic pro put on it today, lets hope i never have to use that lifetime warranty!

Shoulda bought a ford brah

jokes

Did you apply the ceramic pro yourself?

Is that some sort of good paint protectant?

Pics brah

ill grab some later :P

its a paint protection which is almost like another clear coat, it dries hard, can only be removed by cut and polish pretty much and comes with a lifetime warranty unlike most other paint protections which are 1 - 3 years.

shows how it works pretty much.

I had Levent from prestige specialist detailing do it.

leroy that sss for 1500...... manual yes? are they all manual?

Ive just asked. will PM you details when I get info, its a bit rough round the edges, but will need half the work the mirca needed (lol)

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
