Drove past the bloke that was driving that thing on Saturday. He had a cop uniform on and there was a highway patrol car 2 cars behind him.

Oh well there you go, i was always under the impression chasers were close to 1900kgs. The y34 was shipped for 1680kgs

The green leds through the passenger windows is so awesome. Will need to put on some green undercar neons to complete the look

or you could spray a huge penis across the side for the same effect, but less money

Yeah they do that

Had some f**k heads come up quickly behind me on the west gate freeway the other day, obviously on the way back from the GP. They weaved in front of me and then one (on L plates) slows down to 60km/h in front of me talking to his/her mate in the lane next to us, then I change lanes to move around them and the biker looks at me like I've done something wrong lol? Then does the shittiest wheelie I've ever seen. f**k heads give the rest of us a bad name. Can only hope they take just themselves when they inevitably end up a road trauma statistic.

I had a bunch of wankers on road bikes surround me on the Neppean Hwy one night in the 33. Boxed me in and forced me to slow to like 40 while their mates did wheelies and shit.

They tried it on a second time but when I stepped it out at 100kph they decided not to come too close lol

edit : csb

As a biker I can't stand how arrogant, self righteous and hypocritical so many bikers can be. The worst are the ones who engage in road rage with cars thinking they can come out of that battle on top.

CSB warning. I remember when I was driving Alvin's 34 and I had a motorbike swerve into my lane and put on the brakes hard, which made me slam on mine, then he changed lanes as I did and put the brakes on hard again; this time his rear tyre connecting with my front bar (put a rubber mark on front bar that polished out easily enough) and he looks back at me like I'm the one driving like a moron. He then slows down to let me pass and starts tailgating me really close with his high beam on. I'm loling cause the dick head is playing traffic wars with 1.5 tonnes of metal...I tapped the brakes a couple of times to scare him away and he quickly got the hint that he would end up second best if he kept it up. He got the bird when I turned off, cause that's how you finish off a situation like that.

Impul bits including ECU are still available

Duuuuuuuude... How did you find about all the impul bits? That ecu is a great find.

Yeah heaps of coilovers and modified air bag kits on YJ.

Good way to blow your engine, as all the protection of the stock ecu is bypassed.

Plenty of Stagea engines down the drain from the Impul. Bump the boost up and see what happens. At some point the stock injectors max out and you are screwed. ;)

At least the Nismo ecu has protection. Are they available still or discontinued?

Yeah just did some reading up on it and not reprogrammable, so not interested.

Theres no nistune as far as i can tell, but would an impul chipped ecu make it possible to use nistune?

Ive spoken to uprev but i cant give them all the info they need (yet)

I doubt uprev will work, they couldn't help with ours after sending them the ROM file.

Nistune were useless for the VQ25det, but they do have the VQ30det early ecu's cracked.

I would say you are stuck with an Emanage over the stock ecu, (or over an Impul/Nismo ecu to get rid of afm cut/speed cut) with a decent tune.

Yeah i know about the biggybacks. NM35 ecu pinout is same shape as y34 det, not sure if many of the pins are common. If i do want to go down the E85 route, might have a word to Wolf ems since they have done a wire-up for an auto 25det stagea

    • My thinking is that if the O2 sensor is shot then your entire above described experience is pure placebo.
    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
