  1. As above with the servicing, regular oil changes to keep an eye on any shedding of metal.. The most important thing to do is actually learn how to drive them, then dog wear becomes almost minimal. I have an H pattern dog and basically have to drive around on the street like a truck - double clutch all gears and rev match. Simon Pfizer himself from PPG kept his H pattern dog in his own 32 GTR without the need to replace a single part after 20000km +, so it can definitely be done.
  2. Willall racing is no more as Wilson and Donnon have parted ways. Now Keir uses Simon from Morpowa for his own cars. I personally cannot recommend Simon and Morpowa enough.
  3. Ok go hard then. 🤘 I guess if we're not going to completely shitcan this idea, maybe bringing it back into some form of reality might yield results ? While I think the twin 6875 idea as first mentioned is a bit ridiculously big, the idea of smaller frame could possibly work ? Maybe twin 6266 or 6466 in reality ? When I was at Morpowa last year getting my R32 finalised guess what Simon tuned after my car ? Keir Wilson's R35 with his new twin Precision setup - it made over 1000kw at hubs. Edit: 1061kw or 1423hp to be exact.
  4. Remember this car has never been run with the combo mentioned. This is funny - Looking at moving to a Trust twin high mount setup from a 7685 that has never been installed 😄 At least try the Precision first. Not happy ? Maybe move down to the Gen2 7275 / 7675 or something than this Trust twin idea.
  5. Good one. At least fixed now - if only all faults were that easily rectified.
  6. Man, Johnny's new excellently fastidious paint job is a good $15k+! Most muppets selling Skylines aren't going to that much effort - best 33 gtst on the market in my opinion ! In reality though I don't want you to sell it to stay attached to the insanity that is R chassis ownership - keep it real, not euro trash !
  7. As long as everyone's on the same page about what's going on, that's all that really matters 👍
  8. Maybe I didn't explain it in detail enough to be clear as yes the CAS is off the camshaft, but the point of it is to reference the CRANKSHAFT, not camshaft position. CAS = CRANK (not cam) angle sensor. Yes if you adjust the the inside of a cam gear the CAS will end up in a slightly different position, but the different position is referenced relative to the crankshaft for engine position. At the end of the day we do actually mean the same thing 👍, as the ignition timing is in reference to the crankshaft, not the cam position
  9. Cam timing is not ignition timing - completely different things. Regardless of where adjustable cam gears are set you still set up the crank angle sensor as normal with a timing light to get correct engine position against the crank - It's the whole point of adjustable cam gears so the outside cam gear teeth don't move from the factory position relative to the crank to change cam lobe location. Ignition timing is relative to where the crank and therefore pistons are (engine position), not relative to cam lobe positioning.
  10. Just uses the normal factory push release bearing. While out make sure you have the right bearing carrier for the clutch - TS2BD is a 12mm carrier on a 32 GTR.
  11. Exhaust housing are one area that shouldn't be underdone. If that is compromised the whole turbo / engine package is compromised. Seriously i give up dude, you just dont grasp what I'm trying to get across. Dot points: -standard ceramic turbos suck -trying to imitate the standard turbo results with something else also sucks. -Gt-ss or -9 is only an improvement over the standard ceramic turbos everywhere in reality - there is no downside however you might think to the stock units. Post results when GTIII-SS installed and tuned please. Single turbo realm mate, as Piggaz above.
  12. Thank you sir Ravi you are awesome and I um retarded 👌 ...
  13. Holy Quintuplet post batman - stupid middle of Australia internet
  14. Yes if you consider every other low monut offering. 0.54 a/r turbine housing ? - This in itself is quite ridiculous with a reduced in size 52mm turbine wheel. Nissan moved to a 0.64 a/r on the N1 and Nismo turbine housing in the 90s, so even Nissan themselves realised a 0.64 turbine housing was a more appropriate size. Going any smaller than 0.64 on turbine housing is a bad idea regardless of what you do with the compressor side. Regarding specs the MHI GTIII-SS which I have found is a smaller turbo overall compared to the HKS GT-SS or Garrett-9. The GTIII-SS falls into the trap of using a billet compressor wheel as its selling point and then makes both wheels smaller and uses a journal chra ?! WTF were they thinking doing this as an improvement ? Specs on all, noting original HKS GT-SS is slightly bigger on comp wheel than -9 so not exactly 100% equivalent but close. Garrett-9 ball bearing chra Compressor: 0.42 a/r, Inducer - 44.5mm, Exducer 59.4mm, trim = 56t Turbine: 0.64 a/r, Inducer - 53.9mm, Exducer - not listed, but has to be 47mm as trim = 62t HKS GT-SS ball bearing chra Compressor: 0.42 a/r, Inducer - 46.6mm, Exducer - 60.1mm Turbine: 0.64 a/r, Inducer - 53.9mm, Exducer - 47mm trim = 62t HKS GTIII-SS journal bearing chra Compressor: not listed a/r, Inducer - not listed, Exducer 56mm Turbine: 0.54 a/r, Inducer - 52mm, Exducer - not listed
  15. That's about right. Image how bad the GTIII-RS would be ?
  16. I guess it depends how you look at it. The GTIII-SS for choking the turbo with a turbine and exhaust housing too small or just lag city with the GT-RS being way too big to be useful on the compressor side. GTIII-SS wins for being pointless but yeah, RS probably as 💩
  17. That's where the FA20 shines. At 10.6:1 compression running up to 1.6bar boost stock I've seen in the 6s for L/100km and up to 800km from a tank ! - it's insane how good the fuel economy is. Granted the missus generally drives it being a bit of a lead foot and I still notice she's generally around 9 - 10ish L/100km.
  18. That's why flex setup - best of both worlds. Have the advantage of E85 for your higher power performance scenarios and the convenience of just putting in 98 for normal use. No switching maps or draining the tank, so I definitely think it's worth it.
  19. Can't say I've noticed a problem and does its thing nicely, but I can't remember being on cruise control on a really steep hill either as I'd be manual anyway.
  20. Fred's old 33 hey, that will be interesting to resurrect from the dead. Surely the paint is completely f**ked after sitting outside at his parents house outdoors for god knows how long ?
  21. 2015+ FA20DIT CVT WRX better than all the above in the real world, and faster point to point on the street.
  22. Absolute bastard 😤 If that was under 2k I'm impressed. The old man is bugging me to change our white 32 back to stock but everyone wants a pound of flesh for them 😡
  23. Tomei Japan in no way associate themselves with the US arm. RHDjapan put a press release out ages ago warning of this and I'm pretty sure Sean Morris on the US gtrblog reiterated regarding US supply. Maybe just because of the demand for awesome "Tomie" gear by the 'mericans the US arm come to fruition ?
