What a great day and yes that Z-Tune was a beast, it sounds fantastic at full steam through turn 1 with monster brakes. I was out there in 700 the red S15, Oran park is excellent and I cannot wait for the next track day.

Cheers

Patrick

Most people were too drunk to remember their bets, and I was too drunk to remember to bring the sheet of paper home.

My brother guessed 153km/h and that's exactly what the top speed of the silvia was down the straight. lol

so I'll just take him out of the comp, whoever was closest to 153 gets the beans.. I think it might have been steveo

i loved seeing the prince out there, that thing was awesome!

I believe that was me guessing 155.........:)

Gearbox and Diff Oil Coolers

The brakes are significanty larger than stock brakes.

SPECIAL Z-TUNE BRAKES DEVELOPED WITH BREMBO: This brake system, which was developed to a performance target of 1.6G when fitted with Semi-slick tyred, was jointly developed with Brembo. It features such parts as a mono-block 6 piston caliper (for the front), 2 piece front brake rotor with a 365mm rotor, and 355mm one piece rear brake rotor jointly developed with KIRYU. In addition, the ABS unit was specially tuned to further utilize the performance of these high-performance parts. The ATTESA ET-S and active L.S.D. were specially tuned to accompany the increase in engine power in order to make the torque distribution to the front more suitable and to improve the rear differential effectiveness, among other things, to stay true to the great handling of the base car Skyline GT-R (BNR34).

Front: Mono block 6 piston caliper made by Brembo

365mm 2 piece vented disc

Rear: 4 piston caliper made by Brembo

355mm one piece ventilated disc made by KIRYU

It was an awesome day. I was mildly pleased with my time. I was actually a bit slower than last time out, but I didn't really get any clean laps. Plus it seems the track was a bit slow, possibly due to all the rain? Some of the guys I know are quick there were a little off their best times.

Anyone who has some nice shots of the beer mobile I'd love to see them. I was car 295. Steve and N1 R33 GTR had some nice ones, but I'd love to see some video too, particularly of me going all 4 wheels on the concrete flat out over the flip flop.

Lot's of the SAU guys did really well which was nice.

And the Z-tune sounded magic being put through it's paces.

1 last thing... I got to pass the Z-tune! :) :) :nuke: Went up the inside at turn 8. hehe 1 proud moment! I wish I had it on video.

I also have to say a big thank you to GTRJason (aka Jason Lavis) from JADE Automotive in leppington. He dropped what he was doing to get my car into his workshop at lunch to bleed the brakes for me. Anyone who needs some work done in that area would be mad not to go to Jason, he has all the good GTR knowledge and if you needed any more proof he has his own GTR fairly hauling around Oran Park GP in approx 1.15 which is VERY quick.

Thanks Jason.

Was a good day. First for me on GP circuit and I improved every lap.

I just have one annoyance, too many cars on the track and people not thinking about how their actions or inactions affect other people. Putting around at 70k's an hour is fine for session 1 but when we're waiting 45minutes + for the next session I dont want to be stuck behind some guy out for a sunday drive around the back section...

Liz you did an awesome time in that car well done.

you r32/r33/r34 ladies are welcome to correct me, but do i see chris easton in hr31 having 4th fastest lap time??

go the 31

yeh chris was flying around at one point i was watching him, he kept behind that ztune for about 2-3 laps until he *once again* lost traction after the bridge and drifted around out there lol

    • What's your intended usage for the car? GT-Rs already have a mechanical LSD at the back, provided the clutch packs are still in good condition, it should delivery 50/50 torque split between LHS & RHS rear wheels.  Wouldn't hurt to put in a helical front diff, however would avoid a clutch pack front if you want to keep it streetable.
    • Hi all,   was wondering anyone upgrade these and what are their opinions? Worth the time to install for daily driver or just helpful for track cars. Or should just got with a full r34 transmission 6 speed swap. Are the lsd really neccessary with horse power over 600hp? Thanks
    • Hi all,  Been working on my hks ss turbo setup and making around 540hp without doing a 2.8L stroker upgrade. I feel this is a safe level with the weak link rod screw bolts I heard. What is everyone else putting out safely? I’m running 1.4 bar right now max on 98. I think with the tomei stroker kit I will be able to max the turbos out at around 650hp crank safely.  My friends putting down 525whp with the garret 7s and stroker kit already.    What’s everyone’s thoughts?    I have added my first dyno runs yesterday that I recorded. Curve is super smooth with horse power delivery with twins. Thanks
    • then it was time for tuning being in WA and having the emtron Quang from wanted motorsports where the work and dyno was being done recommended we have emtron remote tune it to best utilise all of the emtrons awesome features like the torque management and how it does all its wizardry, so of course we had some teething issues mostly with the 25+ year old harness that i wanted to use (i know stupid decision) we had a great final result of 620whp at 23 psi unfortunately didn't take a pic of the graph or ask for a print out. the flat shift was working nicely on the dyno but after the first drive realised it wasn't happy when on the road which we believe is just an issue in the numbers i gave to the tuner so that will be updated so i can really bang some gears. but wow after the first drive it is a totally different car (obviously) but i put a lot of it to the ecu, in the throttle control and feel Aswell as how it comes onto boost now and having a nice close ratio box now gives the car an awesome drivng experience. 20231221_141621.mp4   after having some wiring issues due to using the 25+ year old harness i decided it was my turn to become a sparky and removed the harness, removed parts that i wasn't using anymore and rewired some parts that were just failing rewrapped it all in heat protecting sheaving to help keep it all nice and safe and after a few goes finally have it running nicely. then it was final interior install with the bride xero seats and 6 point scroth harness, aswell as some more minor additions in the bay overall very happy with how it all turned out over the past 2 years or so, and now its time for some track action and some nice new sticky rubber 20231206_162606.mp4
