6 year old JAG wallet brah checkin in

Don't feel the need to change it either, never been one really for fashion tho

i think i got my JAG wallet back in 05. still trucking, the only bit that failed was the plastic in the ID card slot.

looooool - clearly not the sole reason for cessation of production, definitely played a part

remove head - fit ARP studs - replace head with new OEM gasket - strong as houses

Dinner and Bistro Vue then hotel

not even...standard headbolts will suffice as long as threads are tapped clean and correct (not OEM) torque is applied and retorqued after 1000kms or so.....its around 75ft/lb instead of factory spec'd 55 ft/lb iirc...

the original design was based around an asbestos HG...new laws disallowed this at the last minute toyota had to change their gasket design to not contain asbestos....unfortunately this meant the torque specs should of changed but with no time for RnD on the new gasket it didnt happen...so the average lifespan is about 100,000kms.....OEM Headgaskets have been redesigned a few times to help solve the problem but (some) aftermarket gaskets have of course copied their design by now so most quality branded ones will work fine.....The real issue is in the torque specs...

and that concludes todays lesson on ye olde 7mge boys and girls...

real life.....

roses are red.

my hsv is blue.

i was going to buy you something.

but i spent it on fuel.

its funny coz its true

I watched an early season 1 episode, where they briefly discussed GTR's and came to the conclusion that the 34 GTR is the best one, but the 33 was best value for money.

The 33 and the 34 are 90% the same, biggest differences being the wheelbase, attessa computer and gearing. The rest of the differences really come down to personal preference though I think we can all agree the interior trim and general build quality is better on a 33.

Well it does make sense, BBC is heavily controlled by the UK Government, so there is def some political motives to promote UK brands and keep local production alive...

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
