@SiR_RB about 500kW at the rear, pretty much same hotside, better head set up, better cooling and a bit more balls with timing. I want it all in between 4000 to 4300 rpm and spin its mum to 9000rpm.

What gearbox? That’ll be the next thing you’ll be picking up off the road.

For now CD009 conversion seems like a good idea, with 3.6 diff ratio.

This was kind of the plan from the start but who knows, could be a Samsonas considering what has happened so far 🤣

Can I interest you in a T56? Better ratios also I want to sell mine.

:P

Colour looks really good, and glad to see you didn't give up on it so fast!

Lololol... If it was a R33 dog box then maybe, but yeah CD009 seems appropriate, keeps the car driveable. Doubt it's seeing the track the way it did before.

Aren't the CD009 ratios hyper short? They'd be really great with a 7th for cruising (in my application)

Whats with the hardcore build then if it's not going to go to the track? Booooooo!

Broscience tells me the S15 Manual CW&P will fit somehow lol.

Will still go to closer tracks here and there, e.g. Luddenham, maybe Eastern Creek South Circuit etc. but not competitive, just squirts here and there. 100% will take it to Powercruise lol.

Same reason we all build our cars it’s our hobby and we enjoy it

Oh don't you worry, it will still be thrashed, just skidpans, Powercruise, etc.

Paintjob looks mad.... did you take the strut towers off to do a rust repair while engine out?

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
