$5,000+ for wheels made in 1996?! WOW. BTW Terry, how's the cloning yourself going? Need to make another clone so you can drive all three at once

Within first week of getting my GT-R, parked in Westfields carpark, got a nice fat dent on the top of the front left guard. Thanks SUV driver! -
Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
niZmO_Man replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Rolling diameter. If you feel confident enough that the diameters will be close enough to being the same then go for it. I learnt from my experience (running a slightly larger tyre out back, out of desperation) to run identical wheel and tyre sizes all round (offset doesn't really matter). -

Yep -
Sell it and buy a WRX. Does it have mods? Is it tuned properly? Is O2 sensor working? Try using L/100km instead of "a tank".

Who still daily's their Skyline?
niZmO_Man replied to colourclassic's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yep definitely. Car also came with a colourful double-DIN head unit, with an SD card slot lol, the girlfriend at the time liked it (she could change it to pink). GT-R not so much, seats too huggy, car too harsh and loud blah blah she put up with it though, because GT-R :P. -

I still miss my black R32 Type-M. With an R34 turbo (stock otherwise, including exhaust) it would do 9L/100km in Sydney traffic, was comfy (stock suspension) and had a sunroof! -
CTP Savings At Last in NSW Whilst With NRMA VVC

Shop probably charged NRMA $3k+ but if you walked in, $1,000 drive away -

CTP Savings At Last in NSW Whilst With NRMA VVC
niZmO_Man replied to GTR-N1's topic in General Automotive Discussion
To be honest, it has been many years since parents made a claim. One claim was a "disabled" person on a motorised scooter running through a busy roundabout and hitting the rear guard of my mum's Commodore. Took two years but NRMA sorted that out (won the case). Oh Police charged my mum with neg driving for doing literally nothing wrong (she paid the fine for some reason). We had problems with the painter not matching the colour right (it was Botanica Mica) but that was between painter and my dad (NRMA preferred repairer), my dad got him to repaint it for free and it was sorted then. So hearing your story I'm actually not surprised. Were they waiting for Nissan to get the parts or something? They always give it to the cheapest quote if you don't use your preferred and that shop can stuff everyone around. -

Parents have been with NRMA for decades, had a couple of claims, no issues (had hire car so no loss of transport). -
Put the turbo on top of the engine, like Mercedes Benz did with their F1 motor.

So whoever played this, is Minecraft better?
-
Same, although I wouldn't bother with this as the output is garbage (see first 'output' shot). Retrofitting is a ton better.

R32 GTR Pads, Rotors, Lines?
niZmO_Man replied to powerdbygarrett's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Assuming he's in USA, you can get DBA there. But get the existing rotors measured and skimmed as GTSBoy said. No idea on Hawk pads but they should suffice. Remember to do a full fluid flush and bleed the ABS as well (you'll have to trigger ABS → bleed → repeat a few times). Why do you need new brake lines? Are existing ones falling apart? -
Is this the "400hp 3L twin turbo V6" you're talking about?

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
niZmO_Man replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Stock brakes aren't that bad, new pads and fluids helps a lot. As for your wheels, get this size: 18x9.5 +22 with 265/35/18 tyres. Search on Google/Bing/DuckDuckGo for that size on BNR32. -
