Bec - Getting sick of Winton!? Take it back! redesigning signs, conversing with the locals, wang bangers - what is there to get sick of! I know what you mean with going to a different track though.

I would be interested in this and might be able to tie it in with catching up with my Sydney guys from work. Can someone put me under the "groupie" section please.

Great idea Snowy :D

My new employer carts the VIP Petfoods Porsches around in those trailers so I could see if they can collect from Melbourne. How many would we be talking? I think it is the ex MD whose daughter is married to one of the Kelly family (V8's) so he is a keen enthusiast also.

Had a chat to one of the Directors and VIP own the trailer, we simply cart it around so is a no go as our primary business is temperature contolled transport.

Probably best going the TNT route. Doesnt someone off here work for them? :O

:O Great to see lots of interest in heading north to play on the NSW tracks.

I've wanted to visit the creek in a good car for a long time.....I'm with Aaron on this one, go the road trip with a van full of cheater wheels/tyres for the track events.

Might as well drive the cars....isn't that what its all about???

Yep I've been thinking the same thing Benno. Basically last time I towed the car because I new the engine was on its last legs but if the car is fine there is no reason to fork out the extra $$$ for trailers and the extra $$$ needed in fuel (towing costs way more in fuel than just driving).

Doesn't help Ray but for most I reckon we Road trip it for sure.

Put me down as a defintate although I will be here waiting for you guys and will do the Eastern Creek event. Will have other zed bait for you guys to play with and no doubt some of the other GTR's in town and probably GTR JASON who thumps along with his R32 GTR.

Well I guess i'll have to get my car RWC and join this road trip.

Man, just thinking about the 9 hours drive im my seat , no stereo, tyre noise, no, insulation, no air/cond.......hmmmmm.

I drove to Canberra and back... no stereo, on my own and with more rattles than a tin-can hwy collector.

It can be done... you just loose a tiny bit of sanity along the way.

But NOTHING a beer cant fix

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
