Yep ok - for anyone that's interested we'll meet at the Bunnings on the crn of Sth Gippy and Thompsons Rd Cranbourne for a 7:00am departure (damn that seems early!)

That should get us there just after 8:00am.

Because it ate all the dope i was going to sell Wed night to fund the weekend. So no dope means no money, and a high cat isnt really worth much to anyone. Thats whey im going to blend it up and try to make hash cookies out of it

Just send the cat this way... I'm hungry

Crying Wolf? Im just crying :(

My kind boss just paid for my tyres...such a champion bloke... i need to know where a good model store is so come pay day i can buy him a cool di-cast model. Will be interesting to see how the Kumho semi slick goes. With so little power i will be relying on the tyres to get me in under the 2 min mark. I lost 3rd gear on the dyno as well so lets hope the gap between 2nd and 4th isnt too big

There is a model store on Swanston St, James called me from there a few months back as he had seen a model Evo.

That cat eating the dope is funny! If you need a hand, let us know mate (blender also at our place  )

That's where I got my stuff from.

don't forget the one about the beer baron taking your only set of car keys so now you have to hot wire the car to make it run, and constantly hold two wires together between the toes on your left foot.

BTW - Jack/Aaron - where's Kennedy? Surely he wants to come show us these 43's he reckons he's running?

Not sure he's gonna make it, he needed to sort out his rear brakes, its touch and go whether he'll make it, I'd like to see the 1:43's aswell!!!

I should be good for the meeting point aswell...

Let's just hope the weather will hold out, not looking promising at this stage.... :(

I'm out,

Currently In Sydney, not back till friday.

Needed to do a couple of things to my car because the gearbox is not happy. No time.... I was going to take it to Rays before I came up to Sydney but things went crazy. :(

Next Year!

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
