My requested for a 400R build with a big fark orf BW9180 turbo has already been declined :(

Seems the single turbo conversion is ok'd on a case by case situation.

The 13B twin turbo RX7's are allowed a control turbo and manifold, good for 300 KillerWasps on E85.... that'd be fun :D

^^^ Was just chatting to Snowy. We figured it might have been around the RX7's as the twin sequentials on them are a bit ghey apparently.. ie unreliable. Could make an FD a pretty good thing for EM I reckon. Who do we know who has an FD?? :)

An bris, thats twice this morning I have been bashed by a big brown monster with a stick... I'll try it neat next time chased with an invalid. :)

Looks like benson wanted to make his rental more compdeditive :P

I thought the 102 would be for the na cars that don't get a power gain from e85 (lambos), I recon the rx8 will still run e85, and still be unreliable

Lambo's can't run 102 though (and they have also been banned from running E85 now. Well - the R35's have. And I'm pretty sure that 2 of the podium getters were running E85 last year as well).

Its only LMS and MS cars that can run either Elf or E85. SS are limited to 98RON.

But I'd be willing to bet a can of coke that Mazda will run the Elf.

how long till a r31 gts-r becomes a classic?

LOL, yeh when are people going to run cool cars. By cool I mean old, unreliable, slow but loud cars. :whistling:

If someone wants to build a Sierra I know the perfect car to build up as it already has all the good parts from either RS500, Grp A or aftermarket :)

Serial, I reckon the 31 rear suspension setup is just too shit to be any good on a Tarmac rally. On circuits you can set them up stiff to alleviate the appalling camber changes, but a rally car, esp a two wheel drive one, really needs to be pretty supple.

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
