I just got a cheap second-hand Logitech GT. Not as nice as a G27 but can't complain for $60.

If you and Michael compete next week, should be a pretty full grid. Can keep me company at the back of the pack :P

Best thing I did was focus on setup and tweaking FOV to suit my sitting distance from the screen. Really helped me judge braking distances

Leroy is right about setup. Brake setup is uber important when its a fixed setup race too ;)

Playing a little bit with FOV am i right in assuming for a single 70" about 1.5meters away i should basically be using low as fark 45FOV? I think i need to sit closer lol.

From my brief research looks like single monitor = 45-60ish and triple much higher correct?

Thought you were going racepace rebuild?

That was the preference but

Last communication to RP was to keep me regularly updated on free spaces in the workshop

2 months later still nothing

I'll pass

No hard feelings from me, but it ain't hard to send a weekly email or knock back the work and say try again in 3 months or something...stringing along is wasting everyone's time when my engine could be getting built right now

They obviously get enough work from their loyal motorsport customers and need to service them as a priority which is fine, but I need to get this thing on the road

Hatish you tried Easey’s burgers yet?

do you rate?

tried Laurie Dee's the Burger adventure winner from last year this week, was very unimpressed.

looking for a new one.

I went to bad boys Melbourne. $15 meal was pretty good value. Tasted great

Took 2.5 hours to drive from sunbury to rowville this arvo.

Mostly due to the Burnley tunnel having a lane closed to half of it for no reason at all.

And then this weekend is going to be spent cursing at the astra.

Yeah, the owner and chef are mates of mine.

I went when it was a popup for a week on the rooftop of an apartment building on bourke st and it was amazing.

If jimmy & josh can keep up that quality then it will be number 1 without fail

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
