What a day, been moving shit to the in-laws, cleaning the house, mowed lawn, planted a bunch of flowers. Then sorted out shit box for tomorrow, bleed brakes, installed new Intima pads (test compound), loaded up car with shit and ready!

Rotors look a bit cooked, I managed to crumble the Intima Type-D v2.0.

Dose knows I'm good for the $$

I've had to pay him for his services before.... ?

Rotors do look average.

Motor seized heading back to Sydney. Had full oil pressure, no over heating.

Was tapping a bit on the way home but just thought maybe lifters.

Car did hit the engine protection a few times on the track though for low oil pressure around big bends.

Now waiting for my mate to come back with a trailer on the side of the Hume Highway.

Yay?

Cheers @Duncan!

Luckily just at the on ramp to Sydney out of Sutton Forest Maccas, safe-ish spot.

Same tyres lol..

My mate did a 1m10s in it, I managed only 1m12s

well, you can't change the laws of physics; a borrowed car is always quicker than one you own.

at least it is a short walk to heatherbraes (or Maccas if that is your thing)

I did crack 196 km/h down the main straight but bitches out just as the barrier stopped.

Could have possibly gone 200 km/h+

Is what it is lol..

Maybe the few times the Haltech went into engine protection was a sign I should not full send it around bends on noise.

Do you have logs of the sessions where the engine protection kicked in?

I'll download them sometime during the week and we'll find out.

That sucks, dry stumped billet rb30det with Samson time?

Hopefully damage isn't to bad and just needs machine work and bearings.

Haha I'm over it man, maybe new car time ?

    • Doing a +T on my car and I’ve read the precious forums lots of mixed reviews from sometime back.  checking if anyone has any ideas for airbox or enclosed pod filter or solutions?  I was thinking stock GTT box but some say it’s restrictive? I seen some people try fit in a pod in the box anyone done that recently?  not any good enclosed options ? Thanks
    • I think in the modern era we live in, if I were converting a hydro lifter head to solid, particularly when chasing revs, I'd be seeing what I could do to use shimless buckets. Those of us with Neos usually have this persistent niggling fear of a shim getting spat out and ruining everything. Shim-over is...yucky that way. At least the Tomei kit appears to be conventional, but it would still be nice if they'd decided to go shimless.
    • Ok guys thank you very much. GCG highflow it is then 🙂
    • forgot to mention that when it does this it does not kill the engine, but I have not kept the pedal down long enough to let it, as I see no reason to beat up on it as its got to be something simple, small and dumb causing this.  And as soon as I let off pedal, the engine returns to its normal super smooth operation and rpms re-stabilize quickly, once below 4k.
