Yes, I agree Bob but op did specifically ask about if it would be beneficial on a 25/30 build. I think Oem's would be unlikely to take this up as it's patented and they're not in the business of paying royalties. I am surprised they haven't come up with there own version though.
-
I read it too and even if it does produce the gains, the cost makes it prohibitive to most (6-700us per cylinder + valves). You'd be better off investing in an EFR turbo for your 25/30, should provide plenty of bottom end poke without polyquad and you'd have change.

I'm in Springvale south 3172. Pm me for details if it's not too far for you. Cheers Bill

So you are returning to stock for reg purposes and then putting the aftermarket stuff back on? If so, I can lend you the bits I have, exh mani, metal intake tube, I also have a stock turbo and exhaust system if required.

Angryrb's Project Series 1
admS15 replied to AngryRB's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Good to see this progressing to the final stages. I vote painting it black. -
That definitely works, I have stock sumitomos on my 33 gtst with 324mm gtr front rotors, 40 mm ducting, intima brake pads and penrite 10 tenths fluid. My lap times at Sandown which is heavy on brakes have been pretty good. Only issue is I kill the pads within 2-3 track days. Some V8 supercar spec alcons would be awesome to combat that but in my case they would be worth more than my car.

Id like a copy too, just to compare to my own timing map. So my email address will be incoming too. Thanks Dose

Justcar is no longer renewing or starting new policies. Existing customers are being sent to shannons and aami. My policy for my m35 stagea was transferred to aami and was cheaper than JC. Op, give aami a shot and see if they a) will cover you and b. if its cheaper than shannons. Let us know how you go. Cheers.

Are you using the anti lag/launch off the line or just doing it manually?

Still not quicker than Birds GTST
-
4. Birds 33 is one of those freak factory cars that could beat an r1 even when it was stock. Now with the mods and e85 the r1 doesn't stand a chance.

Well done, congrats on the 11[emoji106]. I vote drag radials, see how quick it will go with current powers, then add cams and maybe a shot of nos [emoji43]

Is the 02 feedback on? Same area where you turned boost control off. Can't you just do the idle learn procedure and not bother turning ac or demister on?

I will take a screen shot of this. Just in case it ever slips my mind.

Using aux input for obd2 diagnostic?
admS15 replied to Lachlan S's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Torque may not work. I have hobdrive working in my M35 stagea. I just checked in the pre defined vehicle settings and it lists 2001 v35 skyline. You can download the demo version for free to check if it works. May or may not. I use a vlink elm adaptor thing plugged into the obd port and connect to it via wifi.- 12 replies

My thoughts exactly. If they try to wiggle out of a payout, i'll be like but Birds from the internet said you'll cover me.

So, continuing on from the discussion we had a couple of weeks ago about the roll cage and disclosure. I recently renewed my policy for the stagea and in the paperwork received i found this part about modifications Accessories and modifications AAMI Fire, Theft & Third Party Property Damage Car Insurance automatically includes cover for accessories and modifications that have been fitted to your car up to the amount covered, with the exception of the accessories and modifications listed below. Custom Paint Nitro or Hydrogen Fuel Petrol Turbo or Supercharger (both when fitted after market) Roll Bar / Roll Cage / Racing Harness After reading that, I take it as: we'll happily cover you but wont pay you out for your cage, paint, turbo etc. Im quite happy to roll the dice and insure my gtst with them if they offer me a policy like they did with the stag. If they dont ask about any new mods i wont tell. If my car was to be stolen, id be quite happy with 10k. Judging by the last couple of pages, i've got bigger things to worry about since old mate Pettet is back in action. What a lowlife scumbag kent. I'll be avoiding Knox and surrounding areas like the plague. Lol.

Thankyou for that feedback. That sounds quite promising and a good option for lightly modified vehicles. Will definitely consider[emoji106]. -
Need help to identify turbo
admS15 replied to Rb25det123's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I'm not really sure to be honest. 220 was a rough guesstimate on pulp fuel. Hopefully someone else who has used such a turbo can chime in. -
vq25det ecu reflash stage 1
admS15 replied to m35stagea's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi, it's great that there is finally someone that is able to flash these ecu's, hats off to you sir. I think most of us are a bit hesitant though without seeing any before and after results. Do you have any graphs of your own or a customers car showing how your tunes perform? Have the tunes been developed by you and how exactly did you do that, testing on own vehicle, dyno, etc? Also some background information about yourself and your tuning experience would also help ease some concern. Looking forward to your response. -
Need help to identify turbo
admS15 replied to Rb25det123's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Its a greddy mitsubishi style turbo. Similar to what was on early EVO's. It's quite small for an RB. Should make around 220rwkw give or take a bit. It should be very responsive, i would expect full boost by 3500rpm the latest once properly tuned. -
Yes it's ok to drive, the car will be a bit laggy because the cams wont be advancing and it may also stall randomly which can be dangerous if you're not expecting it. Drive it cautiously with the expectation it could possibly stall on you. Code p0340 is drivers side cam sensor which is the more difficult one to get to.

To get into the diagnostics, you have to do the sequence spot on, use a watch or stop watch, the timing is critical. Your fault does sound like a cam sensor, possibly crank. Once you get a code you'll know which sensor. Make sure you buy a genuine Nissan replacement. They are available from kudos motorsport for 110 each. Just replace the one that is playing up. No need to replace all of them.
