  1. Lazy timing, loads of boost and E85 I'm putting 1.5bar into my stock motor, hasn't popped yet. Will go to 1.6bar once I sort out this misfiring issue.
  2. Depends how much power you want, but I would say 660cc injectors won't get you far. I'm using 875cc injectors and I'm at 92% duty cycle with a Hypergear SS2 turbo. But if you're getting the E85 itch just drop in 1000cc injectors and a Walbro 450 E85 pump.
  3. Sell your car, buy a turbo charged car. More economical
  4. lol... was going to say, wasn't on there for long
  5. how's the software like? never played with a Wolf 3D - but it can't be that bad right? I've tuned a few adaptronic semi sequential ECUs and they idle like stock with lean AFRs and none of this hard to start, stuttering business.
  6. do they really need 2x turbos too? lol just a single twin scroll would have been better
  7. Does it always start easier with the water temperature sensor disconnected? (the one to the ECU not the dash) Could be your cranking tables are too lean OR injectors are clogged and spraying less fuel than before with low pulse widths.
  8. Sounds like your fuel cut recovery point might be on the high side causing it to do that. Since you're taking it back to unigroup let them fix it, if not I'll give you a few pointers on what to do to try and fix your issue
  9. Of course you can! Just download it, choose the right car/tyre settings and upload your logs. You'll need to trim the logs though so it's only one WOT run in 3rd or 4th. I tried to upload an entire log and it turned out like a mess lol
  10. Correct, it's externally gated off the housing and running the stock manifold.
  11. Yo Lithium, logs attached! Looks like I get: 1.1bar at ~3600rpm 1.5bar at ~4300rpm However like I said earlier, my gain is set pretty low Also here's a virtual dyno print out, not sure how accurate this is either lol 9-18-2014_2011.xlsx
  12. how have you plumbed the vac lines on the gate? I prefer this setup for good boost control (remember to set your EBC for external gate or else it won't work):
  13. For 98RON I tend to make timing lazy to get it to spool harder, but with E85 I just smash in as much timing as possible to produce the most torque as possible for that RPM. More torque = more exhaust flow, however all my experimentation is usually graphed in Virtual Dyno or "feel".. will be hiring a dyno soon to finish off my tune. Here's my current timing map, quite a bit of timing through the motor - but she loves it.
  14. another reason why some tuners prefer running lower timing as the car comes on noise to increase EGTs to get the turbo moving
  15. yo Lithium, if you want I can do some logs tonight and send them to you Also I do have my gain set conservatively on the EBC - I find on the track it does like to spike a little thus my boost might seem a touch laggier. I know I can get 1bar around 3500~3700rpm - just can't remember exact numbers...another thing to factor in E85 will make turbos a little lazier as the EGTs are lower but highly doubt it's noticeable lol
  16. go SS2 with the external hanging off the turbo.. I get full noise around 4100rpm in 3rd and it's on E85.. it is a touch bigger.. I would say 3076R size, but a touch more responsive. hasn't seen a dyno yet, but Virtual Dyno tells me my shit box is making 317kW lol... however other cars have made over 350kW on stock cams with the same turbo. I bash mine around the track quite often but takes getting used to.. the massive surge of power usually gets the car sideways (even with a 2 way).
  17. SS1PU Internal Gate will do it, I personally prefer to run an external gate because you can sneak in more timing
  18. honestly a conventional BOV is more than sufficient, there's no need for this electronic stuff.
  19. sell it, buy a Hypergear High Flowed turbo - will be more fun to drive and last longer than that ticking time bomb
  20. is your cam cover plumbed back into the intake? i.e. post AFMs?
  21. How much boost is going into the motor?
  22. Yes it's fine, I've setup the same thing for many people and removed their stock narrowband - I usually just splice it on the ECU harness to keep all the wires inside the cabin.
  23. Try adding more fuel to the cranking table for that particular temperature it's being a little shit to start at. Also if your injectors are dirty, this would also attribute to starting issues as it's leaner. Has this developed recently?
