  1. Is the M/C empty? Any signs of leaking fluid from slave cylinder? If not you are probably up for a new M/C
  2. Where are you? Second hand compressor a possibility? May just need bearings.
  3. If you are using the Link you won't need the Z32 (or any) AFM as you will use the MAP sensor that comes with the Link instead (hope you specified the 2.5bar one... although it is a bit marginal... if you are tight on funds you won't want to buy a 3 or 4 bar sensor). You will also need a Mac Valve with which the Link will control the wastegate.
  4. I think you'll find Tomei don't do a 1.0mm restrictor - you can get one from me Tomei do a baffle for the stock RB26 sump (around $300) or you could make your own. Mines make a cam cover baffle kit or you could probably do it yourself. I don't think there is any way of drilling and tapping the sump without puling the engine.
  5. You may as well spend the extra few bucks and get the 450LPH http://www.ebay.com/itm/WALBRO-E85-RACING-FUEL-PUMP-F90000267-450LPH-IN-TANK-W-INSTALL-KIT-MADE-IN-USA-/321699595239?hash=item4ae6ca43e7:g:WN4AAOSw6BtVS95W&vxp=mtr
  6. Weak battery might use all its power turning the engine over leaving not enough to fire it. Or worn out starter motor might have a really high current draw with the same effect.
  7. Trouble is no one just swaps a plenum - they usually fit bigger turbo, injectors etc. Shouldn't think you would see any improvement until you get way up in the power range.
  8. And remember the GTR is a great fun car but its over 20 years old with a 2.6L engine so you won't be out-dragging Corvettes or BMW M3s!
  9. Your call. I can't even see the photo so no idea what the car is like but if it looks good and checks out and you like it - buy it.
  10. Let's say it takes you three hours to read the oil control thread. Pay yourself $33 an hour that's $100. Say your pump empties the sump and you run the bearings or put a rod through the side - what's that going to cost you? Do the research, come up with a plan and people will let you know if its the right one if you're still not sure.
  11. As above boost gauge from plenum. Do NOT tap anything into the FPR line. I drilled and tapped the compressor housing for a nipple for the wastegate line.
  12. Get a price from Peter McDonnel
  13. Which CAS do you have - R33 is metal with Mitsubishi logo Neo is Plastic Hitachi unit. And what injectors are you using?
  14. "Head drain" is a waste of space. Read the oil control thread - strangely enough the answers are all in there. BTW what oil pump do you have?
  15. Sounds like you have a major problem. How long ago was it built? Has it always spewed oil? Patrick may be right - it could be an engine out job but have a read of the last half or so of this thread: http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/110680-oil-control-in-rbs-for-circuit-drag-or-drift/
  16. Here's my theory (could be wrong). Ethanol absorbs moisture from the air so if you are not driving your car for a while leave it with a full tank.
  17. Your stock fuel reg will be fine. If you are so crap at searching I suggest you just spend a few hours reading the various subjects on this site - it could save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Also if you are planning to get an RB25 (preferably Neo) engine I also suggest you don't spend any more money on your engine but just save up for the RB25.
  18. You need the half height injectors too. See Scotty for what you need and sell off what you don't.
  19. Thought they had gone bust... OK I see they have been resurrected: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1487145
  20. There are not many Skylines that haven't done big miles. As things wear out that gives you an excuse to replace them with newer, better parts.
  21. See if you can get some kind of drift on it and give it a few sharp blows to try to break the seal as it were.
  22. Get a printout from them so you can see what they have done. Check underneath for loose bolts damaged or bent components. Check wheel bearings. Get a recommendation for a good wheel alignment shop.
  23. AS the OP has noted its a movable feast... GCG were the go at one point but better alternatives keep turning up... so yes read the threads but asking someone who is up with the play is probably a good idea - particularly someone who may be in a position to help.
  24. Go down to the General Maintenance section where you will find a 166 page answer.
