R34 like S2 Stagea has a different plug. People usually just get something like a Greddy Emanage, HKS F Con or even a Link and interrupt the appropriate wires.

Clean Used Rotors Before New Pad?
KiwiRS4T replied to dyl33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yes. Then bed in the new pads all together. -
How do you know the thermostat was slightly open? It has a small bleed hole anyway. However it is likely you have cooked it and should replace it. Did you open the bleeder when you were filling with water?Tilt the car to encourage full filling? Just get a Hypergear turbo and you can keep your stock manifold. Stock FPR would have been fine too. If you are planning on making more than about 225rwkw you will need an Z32 AFM. Use as much boost as the turbo will make - people have made over 300kw on unopened engines. Check with Scotty on this forum to see what he can do for you in the way of injectors. You will need a new clutch at some point but if you don't do full throttle launches you could just wear your old one out first (unless you know it's on its last legs already).

Just to clarify. Nistune do not have a chip for the R33. You need to find the appropriate Z32 ecu or similar preferably one that can control the VCT. Simpler but more expensive is to get a Link which will do everything you need and more including obviating the need for a bigger AFM (you will need a MAP sensor instead - and an air temp sensor). How much power is claimed for your turbo? Check that its maximum is not more than your injectors can handle - otherwise you will need a set of bigger injectors. And how good is your front mount?
-
You will feel a difference when you wind your turbo up to 24psi or whatever it is suitable for. You will NEED a tune to make it work. Have you fitted all of the above? If you look closely you will find your car already has a fuel reg. Will your afm and injectors cope with your projected new power level? Don't forget to put spark plugs on your list. Do some research to find out what you have to do to Nistune an R33.

Rb26 Injectors In Rb20. Possible Blown Ecu?

The trouble with buying something not running is that it could be literally anything. Has it got an aftermarket ecu? -

I assume you have a manual (not auto). The GTT Link G4 goes straight in to the stock case. -
Inspecting An R32 Gtr, How To Tell If Any Rebuild?
KiwiRS4T replied to ltjpunk7's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I would just wait until it arrives and give it another compression test to confirm its ok. A good look around the vehicle should help you decide if its in keeping with the alleged mileage. if there are no service records I would do a service including plugs and cambelt. I haven't heard any reports of a successful commercially produced spline drive oil pump although a few people have made prototypes. Plenty of people have got 400hp out of these without opening them up so if the condition seems ok just go ahead although you will need a new ecu. If your aims are modest then when the time comes you may just be up for rings, bearings, crank collar, oil pump and new hoses and gaskets etc). Or you could go to town and spend another $10 -$50k no trouble! -

Found this in 5 seconds - give them a ring: http://www.hksaustralia.com.au/products/turbos -
Someone may have directly wired the injectors not through a switched source. Alternatively the loom may have been damaged somewhere - need to trace it back with a multimeter.

Is Having No Clutch Fan Shround Defectable?
KiwiRS4T replied to jimstah87's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Probably not but it won't cool very well without it. -
Great looking car and fantastic build - looks like you've thought of everything. Plans for anything other than the 1/4 mile?

One is enough if you mount it like this:

Rb26 Fullboost By 5000 Rpm (34 N1 Turbos)
KiwiRS4T replied to mr_rbman's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Settings can only be determined on the Dyno (or repeated back to back street runs). As always every car is different and a good tune is never cheap if you take the time to do it properly. -
I think your tie down idea looks dodgy. A sideways impact or even some potholes could see the car move sideways. I think the normal 4 ties downs would work better.

Glenn Suckling's 7 second R32GTR 2.7 stroker: http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/05/7-second-itch-thegds-motorsport-gtr/ Here's a 7.91 second run: Robbie Ward from Rips has since bought the car and fitted one of his 3.2L engines in it and knocked a few tenths off the time.

Stock R34 Gtt Brakes For Trackday Use
KiwiRS4T replied to Dr. Surge's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I upgraded my C34 Stagea (which is probably heavier than your car) to GTT brakes with specially made pads from RaceBrakes and they worked well on the track. When I upgraded to an RB30 with a bigger turbo I felt the need to upgrade again. -

How long have you had the car? Changed the fuel filter lately? Had a good long run and got it properly hot? Pull the plugs after your next run and check their condition. Whatever you replace them with (I got NGK PFR7G but you should be fine with BCPR6ES) gap them down to 0.8mm and refit with new coils (as you say the stockers will be old and prone to failure if not already dead). Check the coil loom to see if it is brittle and damaged.
