rb26 RB26 Internals with NEO Head
BakemonoRicer replied to Lopin18's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Just use a 26 head mate..... Don't fluff around with 25 crap. Do it once do it right. -
Here is what original seam seal looks like, and the obvious reason new seam sealer gets added pal.

Seam sealant around strut tops doesn't look original mate. If a BCNR33 hasn't come into the country early e.g. 2000's, chances are the jap rust will work its way through those seams on the strut tops. Go look at the GTR CO UK forums and there are plenty of owners pulling engines out and replacing strut towers.

This will now be the first SR20 powered machine running the EFR7670 T4 1.05A/R. Got on the phone to GCG, negotiated a price, and pulled the trigger. Will be ceramic coated and ready early January. I've already had noob keyboard warriors claim the rear housing is too big, but that's just complete nonsense. The rear housing will take everything the head can throw at it, & the engine will BREATHE like its supposed to. We expect that the car will be completely frightening to drive with a high level of response, especially when compared to 'one size smaller' Garretts/Precisions. Yep, this is now a complete "HOLD THE F**K ON" build!!!!

Borg Warner EFR Series Turbo's V 2.0
BakemonoRicer replied to Piggaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
New EFR crew member checking in.... Manifold will be a 6boost w/ twin gates. Wastegates will be tial mv-s. Exhaust will be plumbed back via 3.5" downpipe The EFR will be used on a SR20DET with a fully ported NAPREC head, big valve chamber with deleted squish pads. ETA for completion is probably 6 months away. Having been in a 2.8L EFR machine, the thing is completely mental and beats stock response with quadruple the power. THEY ARE MAGIC fellas. -
At the start of the week I got a text from Piggaz... then decided almost straight away to rip up the handbrake on the build. With Piggaz heavily involved now we have decided to take things to a whole new level. We are going big, the head is nuts so we need a hotside equally as nuts. Micko is onboard, & Scotty from Insight is along for the ride consulting on all our ideas. Anyway, had a big saday barbie with Micko/Piggaz, got tanked, and finalised all the details. Sent a few emails overseas then not long after passed out on the lawn As of last night I've got more fuel system bits on the way, will be running the godfather of FPR's....& the don of fuel filters. So now you're thinking, so all we decided over the BBQ was a couple of fuel parts? Wrong. Tial MVS wastegates. BOOM. Manifold will be made in QLD by Kyle & we are speccing it up with EGT weld-ins for good measure. I'll leave this as the last clue as to what will be happening on the hotside, I'm sure some of you can guess which turbo I'll be running.... ; )

R32 Gtr Build In Usa
BakemonoRicer replied to HarrisRacing's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
f**k mate....sorry to hear Pat..... would be heartbreaking after all the $$ pumped into that thing not to mention topping it off with fractured vertebrae any plans to get a new one & transfer the gear over?? or will you be calling it a day and getting something else? -
All, For sale is a test-fitted and unused hi mount turbo setup . It hasn't seen any mileage AT ALL, and is currently test fitted sitting on the car. 6Boost Manifold T3 Spec. -Manifold has been ceramic coated silver by craved coatings in QLD. -The exhaust manifold flange is full billet. 6boost did a limited run of these back in 2016 and they're a work of art. They didn't reach the mainstream as they are simply too time consuming to manufacture. -T3 Single Scroll w/ 45mm v-band, kickass manifold. Turbosmart Hypergate 45 -It's a black hypergate w/ 45mm v-band to suit manifold. GT3071R T3 4" Inlet Version -Same spec as the HKS2835 PRO S. -Expect full boost around 3.5k mark with poncams. -Most of you looking at this will know its the real 3071R - not the lesser cropped version with the T25 ass end. -As used on HKS Genki D1GP Silvia and the Kei Office Sil - plenty of videos out there -It features 4" inlet, v-band dump flange, and T3 manifold flange. -Will include V-band flange & clamp for buyer. This setup is perfect for a solid street thrasher which holds its own on the circuit. Sxdevelopments were doing 1.04 laps around Wakie and 1.39 around SMP GP with this same setup (on 98 octane). On E85 the thing will be hypo.....so why am I selling? Reason for sale is simple - I had a head built in Japan by NAPREC. The portwork thats been done is completely nuts, so is the work in the combustion chamber. Talking to a tuner who does a number of WTAC cars - to get the goodness out of the head we are going with a big $$ EFR setup w/ T4 flange. We're aiming for 550whp .... so now it'll be geared solely towards circuit. At this stage its an EOI, once my other setup arrives from USA the sale will be final & the manifold/turbo/gate will be removed for the buyer. Asking price is $3350...& even though I'm losing out already....I'm slightly negotiable and located in Sydney.

Garrett GXT3076R Gen2 on my R33
BakemonoRicer replied to Shoey84's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Lots of fake Z32 afm's out there....either that or its not a Z32 afm. Mate, I can sell you mine which is genuine & brand new for $300 flat including an apexi power intake filter (also brand new). Z32 is good for 330-350kw. -
Aaron, From initial contact to finish the headwork took a little over 3 months, which is bloody fast. I shipped my original head over to them the thing was in fantastic condition when we pulled it down.. however, another option is to buy new in Japan and get it shipped direct to your tuning shop of choice. Overall, I exchanged close to 40 emails when it came to speccing up the head. The porting & polishing was all done by hand & there were a LOT of hours involved. My engine builder has commented that the portwork is some of the best he's seen and the reality is that the head flows big numbers....so we're all interested to see how it'll perform on the dyno given there's a LOT of headroom left in the setup. Minoru at Naprec can speak basic english, so this helps. However, when it came to detailed questions and requests - I did get help translating with Japanese where required. Most big name workshops in Japan will send their heads to NAPREC - they are literally king when it comes to machining & headwork. Was a pleasure to deal with them.....

BIG SPEC R33 GTR or R33 GTR WITH BLOWN MOTOR
BakemonoRicer replied to BakemonoRicer's topic in Wanted to Buy
Immacul8, nope still searching Japan no luck yet. Most of the stuff goin through the jap auctions are piles of shit unfortunately -
lol whats 8 months, we all know the build is now well & truly out of control... i'm slashing seconds off my lap time and im not even driving..... the way i think of it is....it's getting a hamburger with the lot when it comes to the ecu treatment, not to mention the engine / fuel system will be sensored up to the shit. its been off the road 2 years now so waiting a bit longer doesn't really phase me. Just about every single part on the car has been replaced with brand new.... i have complete confidence it'll be a turn key, road registered race car. plenty of GTR owners will be begging for mercy as I pass them full noise sideways through 3rd gear sweepers, snapping into 4th spitting flames.... this silvia will be a complete, wild hog. Once the stock box blows up will go down the path of a Quaife 6 Spd sequential. In the meantime, I need to sort out brakes...what are the biggest puppies that can fit under 17x9+22 TE37SL's?
