So what are the chances that anyone that is coming up has room for a set of rims? My roll cage means the end of my rear seats these days.

If I get around to build my wheel rack for the trailer, will have room for 2 sets.

Damn, better get my ass into gear and get my car ready.

Borrow a trailer dude?

hahahaha...........

Funny you mentioned that. I asked my boss this morning if my new company HILUX is covered by insurance should i be towing for personal use :). He said that he isn't sure and will have to check with the insurance company, so there is still hope.

Whether the car will be finished is still not 100% :(

- Engine out today (hopefully)

- engine bay/car stripped by Friday

- hopefully Jack picks up car and delivers to my mate's place, on Friday

- Mate, preps and paints bay (1 week, two weeks, don't know: he has a full time job and is doing this on the side).

- In the meantime: EAS assemble complete engine with plenum, turbo, manifold, etc.

- Car goes back to EAS Perfomance

- All parts get fitted

- Engine in

- Fabrication of various other parts

- Car taken to exhaust shop

- Powder coating of certain components

- final assembly

- Light tune

- Bedding in engine (1000km)

- Service and full tune.

Either way, i think i may still come and if i do i'll bring the work ute/Hilux so i'll have plenty room for tyres, tools, etc.

PROVIDED: I have at least one passenger to keep me company on the trip and possibly share the driving :)

I hope your car is ready. But if its not, you should still come. Save me the horrible drive by letting me put my car on your trailer and we can tag team my car at Wakefield and Eastern Creek. Only conditionis you have to give it plenty of gate past where im spectating. :)

All you bastards and your fence jokes, definately staying out of that paddock this time!

I should have room for a set of rims in my car as it will hold 4 x 18 rims on tyres. :)

Nice one Ant! Should be a good trip.

Just bought a R33 gtr tonight so I'll have to see if I can get it ready for the trip if not the trusty 32 will be there. If I can or can't get the 33 registered it will be my new track whore.

When did you hit a fence Saff????

Yeh I bought that one! Dam cheap and straight.

Might just have to tie up Tash and drive the car into the lake in one piece like the guy on the weekend at Mordy.

Now just need to mod it right but the 32 might have to go first.

Wow. so much for 32 loyalty... :domokun:

I'm out............................again

Car went to my mate's place today, but wont be ready for approx. 3 weeks, leaving next to no time for all the other stuff.

I can not justify the trip, financially, when i wont be entering the track days. So i'll just re-organize my work leave and see if i'll do a Tassie trip early next year.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
