Spent some time this afternoon doing a few little jobs to tidy up the car. I started by replacing the breather hose between the inlet manifold and the PCV valve. When I replaced the PCV valve a while back the stock hose crumbled and I replaced it with some fuel hose as a bandaid fix. This worked really well, so well in fact that I forgot about it for a long time. This is the hose: And I installed it with new hose clamps: During the week I also ordered 2 rolls of Turbosmart's vacuum line as I've wanted to replace some old vac lines in the engine bay for a while now. With a roll of 3mm and 5mm I managed to replace every vac line from the throttle body forward and next weekend I'll finish the rest, pic as an example of what I was cleaning up: As you can see, the old vac lines are fine but getting a little crusty, best to bin the lot and start fresh. Once that was done I got to work sealing up the radiator overflow nipple, this has been annoying me for a while now. With an 8mm spanner I pulled the nipple out, whoever assembled this radiator did it up way to tight and almost stripped it out but thankfully it survived I then wrapped it up in thread tape and sent it back to work, so far so good and the slight weep is gone!

Car is back together and idling without leaking, success! Now begins the fun of track day prep, got a Wakefield day coming up in late march which sounds far away but track days always sneak up and my plan is to be well and truly prepared. I have a bit of a list of things to get done, and one item on the list is to replace my fuel pump. I don't think anything is wrong with it per-se however it's been making some strange sounds for over a year now and knowing my luck it will let me down at the worst possible time, so in order to ease my conscience I just ordered a new one. Pretty simple job, new fuel pump kit and Fuel tank O-Ring, the O ring is important!! 3 things for a good time Start by clearing out your boot and finding this pannel Balance the wires out of your way as best you can Stick your arm halfway into the tank (which is full to the brim of fuel, very convenient!) and fish this thing out.. Pull the old pump out and slip the new one in. Opted for the DW200 which is more than fine for my pretty much stock car.. ..and as you can see, it's pretty much the same as the walbro that was in there, so I just plugged it in and was all finished!

I've got the 2 passenger side hoses brand new in bag ready to be installed, but they're with my car not with me. I can get pics/measurements for you too

This is the list of numbers I used for replacing all of the rubber hoses in my engine bay, I added some metal pipes in there too, you can ignore those. Unless you're ready to spend money(and time) then I wouldn't bother. Good looking car with some work, but man it will be very slow.

You should take some time and read through the hypergear thread, page 602 has a video of a neo making just over 330kw on e85 with an op6 highflow but even that's pushing it. Back a few pages from there theres also a long discussion on why 555cc nismo/jecs/whatever injectors shouldn't really be your preference. The parts list you've mentioned won't get you above 300kw, especially on 98. If your end goal is 300+ kw I'd reconsider your parts choice especially the turbo and injectors as they simply aren't up to the task.

When i did it i used the Repco generic brand

I did the same on an R32 GTR front lip, used the paint stripper in a big spray can from Repco and a long handled dish scrubbing brush to agitate it then use a pressure washer to rinse it all off. Took maybe 3-4 goes until it was all off, but there was a couple of layers of paint on there. The plastic didn't seem to mind, just make sure you wash it well and remember to wear gloves and a mask of some sorts.

Slowly but surely getting the job done with these hoses, glad I'm in here, there's no way these hoses have been touched since Nissan put them there, all of them are seized up and need to be cut to get off. VERY glad I decided to replace them all in one go, rather than 1 by 1 because another failure was just around the corner. Replaced with a brand new fitting All new hoses installed with any bad hose clamps replaced with new stainless ones. While the car was apart it was a good time for me to give the rocker covers a coat of paint. From the factory, the Neo covers come raw and tend to soak up all sorts of oil/dirt. Gave them a good wash with degreaser and the pressure washer before masking them up for paint. Being raw alloy I used some etch primer on them, I used this back on my intercooler piping and had great results. And to finish them off, hit them with a low gloss/quick dry black. I then replaced the gaskets with new ones using a "Platinum Gaskets" kit, just from eBay, this came with the gaskets, half moons, bolt seals and an oil cap gasket all for $70, pretty happy with that. They fit pretty well and seem like a tight fit, I guess time will tell. The good thing is they are blue, if they do leak it will be very visible and I can replace them with OEM items but honestly it's a rocker cover, not an oil pump..
