  1. the fact is I can do what I said on a 2.8 and see a difference but on forged 2.6 it would be exactly the sameNow does anyone leave the boost level where it use to be? No! But at the end of the day my comment is accurate and as I pointed out before and YOU have stated, the only reason the forged 2.6 has any form of increase is due to the supporting mods being changed (boost increase)
  2. Original poster looking through the arguing and the bullshit, everyone who has owned or driven both a 2.6 and a stroker has recommended the stroker, even stating they would go bigger if given the chance. A graph has even been posted up showing 2 very closely spec'd cars as a comparison. Ultimately the choice is yours but this many people can't be wrong
  3. you are clutching at strawsYou've stated yourself that a built 2.6 is only better then a stock one due to outside influences (boost increase) so if the original bolts on were used and the boost left at the same level, there would be no difference in the way the car drove! Meaning my statement was and is 100% accurate
  4. so if we don't increase the boost it won't drive any differently to what it did before the rebuild?
  5. No they still feel punchy and ready to go, they just do everything easier due to the extra capacity People go from a 2.6 to a stroker but no one goes from a stroker back to a 2.6 Nissan built a 2.6 due to the regulations they were running in while designing the r32 Gtr, but if you look at the nismo special models (400r, ztune) they have factory 2.8s in them. So even nismo can see the benefit of having the extra capacity
  6. But what you're saying is it doesn't come on boost earlier, just makes more power because of the extra boost you put in it?
  7. i didn't realize a forged piston and rod could make a turbo come on boost earlier then a cast item
  8. Basically if you want to spend a load of cash to have something that's drives exactly the same as it did before leave it as a 2.6 Or for a little extra you can stroke it and have a car that's nicer to drive, easier to drive and faster to drive
  9. Hit a soft spot there?
  10. people stay 2.6 for 2 reasons, they are tight asses and don't want to spend an extra $1000 on a rebuild (which means they should never have bought a Gtr in the first place) or they don't realize how much difference the extra 200cc makes to the way the car drives and don't think it's worth the extra $1000 But from having driven a stroker, the difference is night and day and it's worth every cent
  11. I've never liked black wheels, I don't see the point of pay 4 grand for wheels that you can't see
  12. so nice, really need white wheels on my car
  13. How do you make it go upside down?
  14. They never build a LHD r32 so there won't be any parts "made to fit LHD", but most Japanese parts should still fit. your main concern is going to be the exhaust dump pipe and front pipe will probably have to custom made
  15. sweet I'm already with them, but am only insured for 22k so I might have to get that addressed on my renewal
  16. Wonder of normal ones can start being insured for good money? Who are you insured with Terry?
  17. feed them breakfast and push them out the door
  18. Why wouldn't you use the e85 walbro for the in tank pump?
  19. The rubber pipes that go from the body to the engine are shorter and different shape on the r33/r34 then they are on r32, but the twin turbo pipe and etc are all the same
  20. The first one is the seat belt wires, the second one is the cat sensor as you already worked out, just disconnect it and get rid of it
  21. The video with it working looks fine for an r32. They tend to squirm a little off the line
  22. i was thinking the same thing
  23. theres no war going on here, just facts and back to back comparison on the same dyno from one person working on it to the next
  24. 6kw (10hp) difference is f**k all and between a -9 and a -5 setup there should be a lot more then that, As for cams being "too small" if someone can use a 260° in a 3.2 and make 475kw (645hp) why do you need bigger in a 2.6 when you aren't even making 375kw (500hp) yet As has been said by multiple people, give up on cams and look else where
  25. air temp, crank angle, knock sensors
