Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Links's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
And you also went to a single Moral of the story, every GT-R owner that wants response and power ends up going to a single modern twin scroll turbo. -

Budget setup, decent power, reduced exhaust back pressure.. just get a stock manifold, weld on an external gate flange (however keep the divider inside and merge both scrolls on the side) and strap a decent turbo to it and make 500~600hp on E85. Havoc Fabrication does these mods for cheap, and you can request whatever gate flange you want on it. I was doing 499hp (not quite 500hp) on a stock modified manifold, Hypergear SS2 CBB and 45mm gate on E85. Stock motor lasted a good 1.5 years before it went bang with pure abuse at the track, skidpans and "cul de sac nats". Self tuned, self built on an Edward Lee's SE Motor with probably 300 000km on it. -
I'll probably let it sit at room temperature, and used my MAPP brazing torch to sear it... will post pics when I cook it, going Korea first LOL. @PLYNX hahaha yeah, I might need tyres soon and also I have 2x cars I need to tune this Saturday, trying a 3rd place for dyno hire and waiting for them to get back to me.

R33 Gtr performance issue

His motor wasn't taking anymore timing, it's not fuel related guys. His injectors were not maxing out either. -

I've been saying it for years, and over and over again. Funny all of the twin gay huggers have mostly moved to a modern, single twin scroll setup. -

Feel free to ignore. Replace it with a single twin scroll turbo, because you're going to eventually put a single on it. -
R33 Gtr performance issue
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Chrisko33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Trust me it's not fuelling issues, I have a data log off his car but his tuner was smart and didn't log timing and locked the map. AFRs are pretty much like this: -
Good question, I went on a 4 hour drive not long ago, I should download that data and have a look

Tim's 1992 N14 SSS Build
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to TimmyMA70's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Yeah it works well, I give my R33 to the fund, somehow someone trades/strips/sells that and turns that into a BMW for me, and i"ll tune the car, and you get paid for fab work All the extra cash can go into our pockets.. what an idea, just as good as that LMCT plus site! -

If you're really keen, remove all that plastic sheeting in the door and replace it with waterproof foam, generally those thin sheets you use as a yoga mat will do. Then send it's mum with sound deadening on the doors. I did that with my old R33, painted on sound deadening, then stuck on e dead (poor man's dynamatt) and went to town and sealed the door with foam sheets. Ran Focal 165K splits and it sounded porno, these days cbf with audio ?
