  1. That is a very interesting cooler...
  2. Good to see you back Josh. Needs more Nismo though (looks at wheels)
  3. Silver NM35 Axis with a black bonnet on South Gippsland Hwy last Sunday (20th). Also, a silver NM35 RS on the Monash last Friday heading in to Melbourne. Skipping through traffic just to continuously overtake each other... two silly Volvo's
  4. Possibly interested. These do not require modification (either to the bar or car) to fit?
  5. This is the cooling mod I am referring to and is a necessary item for VQ25det and VQ35de as far as I am concerned. It helps with coolant flow throughout the engine and eliminates the hotspot (and air pocket) created by the blanking plate between the heads. Nissan actually have this line from factory on the VQ40 although it is thermostat controlled. I always install an external transmission cooler on any car I have because using the 80-95 degree in-radiator coolant to "regulate" the lines from 100+ degrees C in the trans fluid just doesn't seem efficient to me for cooling. Cooler trans fluid temps have been shown to extend the life and lower wear on the transmission components. It is a pretty extreme setup that cools transmission temps too much (I did manage this with a VQ25det Stagea - two external coolers, no lines to the radiator and outside air temps below 2 degrees C).
  6. 1. transmission cooler 2. cooling system mod Then look at performance mods (transgo shift kit, brakes & suspension then intake/exhaust)
  7. Is that a question? If you are asking if LSD was available as an option for M35's from factory, the answer is yes for both series.
  8. Aah yes, the Moore exhausts. Reasonably familiar and only ever heard on in the flesh. Just noticed, bloody hell, 7.5 years ago!
  9. Lovely. Having a PNM35, I have occasionally dreamed of having two of those rear mufflers. Don't know if they would fit on the driver side due to spare wheel well though. Any chance of giving a height, width, depth measurement of the drum (don't worry about the tips) for me?
  10. Send them to Nissan? Should be the standard 10-day turnaround ordering through any Nissan dealership for parts that need to come from Japan.
  11. Series 1 and 2 M35 suspension is interchangeable - obviously RWD to RWD and AWD to AWD only though. The AWD fronts do not have the fork on the lower end (just a stump) which the RWD struts do.
  12. They are factory option cameras, it is just that the Nismo bar did not come with provisions for them.
  13. Ugh, had a similar thing happen in a shopping centre car park last Thursday - except it was another driver's lapse in concentration whilst I was sitting in my parking space! On another note, installed the modified Nismo front bar (had to accommodate the front cameras) and Dolphin grill. Also decided to put a C34 double unicorn in the grill to finish it off EDIT: Yes, I am aware that is a dirty car with a poor quality phone pic.
  14. If you need an MPH speedo, look to the US for the 2005 G35 speedo. You can see below, the speedo is on the same side as in our 3.5L Stageas
  15. That is a modified Kenstyle EIK kit if I recall correctly...
  16. Looks lovely and clean (love the foamer), do you also bucket wash after the foamer? However.... ... this (upon risk of opening a can of worms), this made me sad
  17. White R35 today in Narre Warren. TOZ (?), just happened to blip down a gear when next to my Stagea. Not sure if coincidence or a way of saying "hi" to a non-generic Nissan
  18. That won't fit either AWD or RWD Stagea. It is made for the 350z and G35 coupe. We have a spare wheel well right where that rear section or piping is.
  19. Can vouch for the Stillen. Mate of mine had it on his V35 and it was very quiet in-cabin whilst cruising on the freeway. Sound was nice under load and once he put his HKS turbo on, it sounded damn good. Plenty of Youtube clips with all of these options on G35's for (admittedly average quality) sound reference. You have a different Y-pipe to the RWD so if looking in the US, make sure you get one that is compatible with the G35x such as the Stillen.
  20. Yes it ended up getting done. I do not know who you would contact now though. I chose not to bother because the way the leaf animates once the conversion is done was not to my liking (I always have the economy screen displaying, so this was important to me).
  21. Would be very interested where you get with this as I would like nothing more than to do away with the terrible anchor point install that was done on my car. As an aside, anyone know how the Japanese child seats are installed? Do they use the "luggage" tiedown points or something else?
  22. Only the heat exchanger in the radiator. You won't need a thermostat for a trans cooler. It takes a lot to run them too cold (an external PWR trans cooler and an external Mishimoto trans cooler without utilising the radiator will do it once the temp hits below 5 degrees - I say this from experience with my old NM35).
