  1. I feel that Invo's set a pretty high benchmark - in terms of their being a lot cheaper, awesome in the wet, and I found them extremely good in the dry too. That's not saying they're *better* than rs3's or ad08's, but my point is they set the bar high across a few levels and the others haven't then smashed them. Although I will add, not like I test tyres back to back in one day, so, that would be the real test obviously.
  2. agreed. I just can't get all the rave reviews on the RS3's; don't get me wrong, i thought they were good dry grip, but sidewalls did feel on the soft side. Didn't NOT rate them but kind of like, i was expecting a tyre that would blow my previous tyres away, and they didn't really. Just IMO.

  4. some awesome dude who's really great to deal with has a GK Tech adjustable tie rod end kit for sale at the moment, includes a number of spacers to set specific adjustments for bump steer. Yeah ok it's me. I'm using the ZSS tie rod ends, same as stock but angled down to put full movement back into the balljoint, works fine for me.

GK Tech tie rod ends, as new yo...Bought a set of GK Tech spherical bearing tie rod ends, as shown here https://www.gktech.com/high-misalignment-64-degrees-tie-rod-ends-12mm-14mm.html As everyone is no doubt aware spherical bearings can transmit a lot more NVH, and I found I didn't personally like the feel of them in the tie rod ends for a street car, I prefer a ball joint. So, after only being on the car for 167km's (then changed to ZSS ends as per log book), we have an almost new full kit for sale. The current GK Tech kit doesn't have holes in the ends of the kingpin for a split-pin retainer so I have drilled this in, to allow the extra security of having a split-pin fitted top and bottom. As it notes in the GK Tech link, you need to cut down your stock tie rods too to fit these, so included is a set of rods already cut to the right length (note if you cut your rods, it only leaves about 8mm of thread engagement if you ever decide to go back to a stock-type balljoint). One rod is genuine Nissan, the other is Roadsafe - both 12-18 months old and easily 5+ years left in them. Selling the tie-rod end kit and the 2x tie rods as a set, $150 posted across Oz .($160 WA and NT)
  7. if you're using adjustable coilovers, they tend to have a lot less droop than stock suspension, so the inside wheel can lift quite frequently with any sort of hard cornering, or uneven surface. That's why I love my mechanical, locked on throttle even with one wheel right off the ground. Sure they are clunky, but after being able to stay right on the tail of a new model Porsche 911 on the mountain circuit, I wouldn't change it out, they really are amazing. My biggest gripe is more the wear to tyres.
  8. With a torsen, don't they only lock while both wheels are on the ground? So any inside wheel lift will mean no lsd? Fk that for a street car.
  9. I did brakes first then diff, a cusco 1 way (then brakes again lol). But 2nd time around, would do diff first.
  10. I believe rb25 is m6 x1, and that's an extremely common size, so...that'd be my guess....based on never having touched an rb26 in my life.

  12. ok i'm revising my vote. AD08's are great, and hopefully they should last a while, but, RSRR's are the best (grippiest dry, and I also found them fine in the wet) tyre I've used. Don't last long, but, don't cost that much either.

  14. you'd be better off with a conversion package to the 324mm gtr discs. If only you were in contact with someone that has those discs, the GK Tech caliper adapters, the calipers machined to suit, and with GK Tech braided lines, all for sale as a package.....rather than a2m'ing around with stock brakes. oh wait...I have that
  15. you mean wind it before the belt goes on? you can wind it back before the belt is on; once the belt is on you can only wind it forwards, and can wind it all day but marks will still never match up, if they're out.
  16. gk tech ones fit fine, without using the hardlines. Pirtek/Enzed *may* charge about $40ish? to make up some new ones for you. And CUT them off? Knee your friend in the groin, right now.

  20. Although i will add, bc's coming out of the same factory as greddy's does show you don't need to pay top $$, but consider minimum production cost for materials, manufacturing, engineering etc. They can only go so low before cutting corners.
  21. This is it. I'd be surprised if you get too many people on here who have bothered using coilovers that cheap and nasty. It might be at the track but you can still crash and kill/damage other stuff around you. Maybe not track your car with cut springs and fkd shocks either; racing is not a cheap sport, for good reason.

  23. seems that's exactly it. Their "lack of staff in the office" to deal with the matter, is not my problem.. All i'll say is, I have a refund from them now, and also have an ATKKD kit from Justjap on my car which fits EXACTLY as it should. Works great, and as always I got very good service and communication from them.
  24. it is indeed. had Rs3's for a few months and yeah they're not bad, but...ad08r's now on all four wheels and wow..I can honestly say, never experienced anything like it. Best tyre I've ever used.
  25. a long time ago, Jesus invented magnets, after he killed off the dinosaurs, and then removed any mention of them from the Bible. A magnet may or may not work.
