  1. Yeah bwoyy. Exhaust leak ftw.
  2. Mine sounds like a quieter version of that, and is an exhaust manifold leak. It makes a chirping sound, mostly goes away once warmed up.
  3. on the outside like that, I would have thought no. But I replace most rubber hose on the car anyway, cos, it's old now. Now I have a request of you can you post up, or pm, some more pics of that chassis bracing.
  4. I use their n1 gears, not spline though. Good item, way heavier than stock ones. Not much more to tell so far lol...they work.
  5. They havent tuned properly for the p/s idle up solenoid, i would ssy.
  6. Yeah theyre not that bad, i just dont feel theyre up there as the performance tyre theyre promoted up as.
  7. yeh, go another size. Why are you only using 205's on a skytwizzline anyway?
  8. that is the most biased review ever. Paid-to-plug I think. read recent posts, I didn't rate the RE003's. Go the invo's instead.
  9. you sure it didn't get bent during install and you've jut noticed now you're looking for issues? just a thought.
  10. ok so cams are in, fitted to standard positions, no adj. gears...due to other work also being done to car over last few weekends, haven't done heaps of driving as yet or fully retuned, but impressions so far - idle is a little bit rougher but nothing overly noticeable. If you're giving it low throttle, standard cams win as there's a slight loss in pickup. If you're giving it medium or more throttle, the 256's are noticeably better although haven't even given it full throttle yet. Looking forward to retuning and seeing the end result.
  11. I just had this on my rb25 head, one return drain hadn't been drilled out fully from factory so I finished drilling it through while the head was off. All I can say is - you will need to remove all welch plugs and cold tank/fully clean out head if you do any machining. I detergent-bathed it twice, rinsed it, compressed air and vacuum-cleaned all galleries, chemical-cleaned it and compressed air cleaned it again, and still had some small bits of aluminium swarf and frag stuck in there, luckily no harm done.
  12. hard to say from the clip but I would not rule out exhaust leak in engine bay as a possible cause.
  13. Yoshii you need to realise theyre both internal combustion engines which are dinosaur technology now, same basic design for over 100 years. You need to be progressive and look towards the hybrid technology Porsche, Fiat and Rocklasser are using or possibly something nuclear-fission powered if you're serious about this car of yours being half decent...otherwise i'd have to assume that this thread is just a troll...?
  14. Not that they will poke out too much, more that the guard will not cover the wider wheel enough.
  15. Front or rear? And no.
  16. I think your ass-dyno might need recalibrating.
  17. Or sell it then buy it back then turbo it. As long as using an adjustable fpr it should be ok.
  18. Or...Just turbo it and buy a sell.
  19. I fail to see the problem.
  20. Interesting, my experience with the rsrs is they held grip right down to the bottom of tread, something other tyres haven't, they just only lasted 8000odd k's. Will see how these go, so far so good and solid in the wet the other week.
  21. bloody nice s15 mate. You anywhere near Wexford?
  22. From memory the sensor needs to be something like a minimum of 60deg past horizontal to stop moisture issues in the sensor head, which doesn't leave much room to get best angle without hitting on body...so yep really need downpipe on car when marking/fitting into right location.
  23. Will tell you in about 2 weeks lol.
  24. ^^^ there you go. +1 for the 'cleaning contacts' by unplugging/replugging.
