How much are you paying for CTP Greenslip

Recommended Posts

Paid $721 for the Liberty through NRMA (discounts I suppose). The rest were around the $800 mark.

Also, rego is $496 this year! MVT $433, registration fee $63.

yeah, my lancer rego costs are the same.

500 bucks.

I swear last year it was around 400.

Massive jump in one year.

And I haven't had a pay rise in the last 5 years.

Makes it hard.

Maybe I should urge the Grand Mufti at Parramatta Mosque to adjust his announcement from an hour ago that, "Anyone who's thinking about staging an accident (with subsequent injury) should simply leave this country?"

Just askin'...

Nrma are the worst for that, basically they are hoping you're lazy and will just pay it without doing any research

Unless you have multiple policies and are a long term customer. I've been with them for over 8yrs and receive (I believe it's 10%, will have to double check) off my ctp and insurance

Yeah, Once I found out shannons do greenslips, been going there ever since, Usually less than $400.

Found out when I rang to get my car insurance policy number for another insurer's green slip, and they said, we can beat that price.

I do have compreshensive insurance on all (3 imports) cars with them, and am 34, so maybe that helps.

Hmmmm, i might check shannons out next time before renewing.

Does age play a factor in the price? If so, im not surprised i have to pay 850+

see this is the guy they're trying to catch

I had 3 greenslips and 2 insurance policy's with them and when I did a quote for a new policy it was a lot cheaper then the renewal. Guy from work had just been renewing every year and I showed him the saving from a new policy and he couldn't believe he had been paying almost $400 a year extra

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
