  1. No issues with it on mine. Only Con is that they provide two of the 45mm red cherry sensors, where there is now a 25mm black version that would go way, way better in their upper cam housing. You can buy them pretty cheap locally too would suggest getting one if you're installing it and care about looks. I do prefer some of the other sensor mountings from other kits for the top, eg ross looks wise but from a practical standpoint its fine, also i've seen others which don't actually cover where the old cas was which is a bit of a worry, leaving belts exposed etc. Con is you need to run the higher spec ATI balancer won't work wtih the lower spec, stock, or ross as far as I know. You don't loose anything going to said balancer, i have aircon running on it with mine, though you probably need to bring the cutoff down as its overspun vs stock balancer. Also, regarding platinum kit i've heard that it wont fit some balancers that they claim though i'm unsure on the resolution of that case.
  2. Went for ID1300x2. Not sure the delphi 1400's were bad per se... just that their pintle position really doesn't suit RB rails
  3. the top of the radiator is a water return... if you use that as your feed you're in for a bad time. Out the block back into the top of the radiator is how i and a lot of others have done it, just weld/plug off the nipple under the plenum, then you have one less damn hose behind the head to worry about
  4. I'm confused about that 10.5 vs 11mm thing. most injectors advertised for rb26 are 11mm i thought? Pretty sure my delphi's are, though they're in a raceworks rail now with the 14-to-11mm reducers in it. Figure i'll just buy 11mm injectors instead of messing around with removing the reducers, or am i going to end up with 10.5mm injectors if i buy ones to fit rb26?
  5. If you go a 3788 you'll have even more headroom... but then again a 4202 would be future proof
  6. It depends really. Nissan didn't run one OEM after all, there's probably a reason for that; I'd worry you might end up spraying a lot of fuel into the bottom of the intake runner with an extended tip one. Then again it might have a different flow pattern. I think there's a lot of different variables and its really going to be hard to figure out what the best option is. There's probably some sort of optimum flow vs spray angle vs pressure distance up the tube you want your tip plus also accounting for high revs vs lower revs. To be but figuring it out without a flow bench or CFD is probably going to be veeeeery hard.
  7. Conviently a mate had a 26 runner set lying around in their shed during a BBQ this weekend, I suspect that that could be an issue: the injector hole down to the runner is a decent length, almost an inch by the look. The delphi ones i have seem to have the actual pintle even further back than the o ring seal
  8. These ones https://www.bosch-motorsport-shop.com.au/1462cc-min-ev14-injector 500kw-600kw range. Bear in mind most people want to be at around 80-85% duty cycle for full power. Safety factor n all... Interesting to note dropped fuel pressure down from 4 bar to 3 bar for 98 idle on my delphi 1400's. Presumably with better injectors could then run smaller injectors at high pressure for similar flow. Dual 460s so have capacity to run at a higher pressure.
  9. If you can hear the radio you're not driving it fast enough... That's what i tell myself anyway, need to get mine working again...
  10. Going by their stock photos the 1400cc ones also seem to have a normal plate on the end?
  11. 1mm OS valves, 3.5" all the way, 0/0 also. In terms of getting the tune done, the usual. Work, Life, the oil squirter coming out the sump. those kind of things. Hopefully get closer to it by march.
  12. Not sure why mines 700rpm later with the same cams Guess more tuning will help a little.
  13. Is that a drive away price? eg clutch, wiring tuning ecu around it etc? Or just the cost of a completed box?
  14. Would be good. Not sure on gates but provided in a good location 38mm would do wouldn't it?
  15. I just used one of the nipples of the under plenum box and ran a short cable to the map sensor i've mounted to the old fuel line mounts under the plenum, does the trick and is tidy and short. Not sure that the quality of the signal has been any issue either, plus i'd imagine its pretty even as its coming from the balance tube via two points.
  16. For anyone reading this in the future the exedy hyper twin I had in mine is as easy if not better to drive than the nismo twin plate... so that's another option out there.
  17. Yep. The neck is literally connected to the return to the radiator. Only reason i can think of for there being both is to balance out around the thermostat or something?
  18. Mine makes boost, needs more fine tuning and even more boost, got a missfire and a few other little niggly issues and then back at work. So still no 'final result' Edit: E85 though which is great to have Goes well though, can still hit full boost (25psi) in second gear with 50% throttle which is a laugh
  19. Whatever you want, whatever fits. Lot of people use thread to -an adaptors out of the block, I used a banjo one for the oil feed on my block because my manifold was in the way. Was going to use banjos' on my turbo core but wouldn't work with the plugs in the way, etc. Used 200 series -6 for water lines made it up myself at home, same for oil feed but in -4. Pretty easy to cut and assemble in the shed. Edit: also, water return: it returns both behind the head and infront of it to the radiator return. I and a lot of people have just not bothered to reconnect the one behind the head. Not sure how exactly it returns on Non 26 heads, but for the 26 coolant elbow you can take out the existing tube fitting, tap it with a M10 thread and install a M10 to -6 adaptor which looks really neat.
