Needs more RB25DET NEO Head

Anyone have one?
Needs to be unraped, at a minimum it will need all its cam caps, buckets (cam followers). Of course, I'll take a complete head as that's probably better.

I have a raped one you can have. 2000 of your finest Covid dollars please.

Seriously though. Been looking for one for the last 6 months. Nobody is selling because they need their 8 spares. Have lost so much hope that a small part of me is whispering sweet nothings about selling the whole project. Shit times.

yeah that sucks. I was lucky when I had a cam break due to an oil problem, was the second last journal and no piston damage. Did need a new head though.

do you know the root cause of the failure yet?

RB = oil issues lol

From what Alex at Birrong has gathered the restrictors in the block were not small enough, too much crank case pressure from 2bar of boost and as the NEO doesn't run a front head drain/vent there's even more crank case pressure stopping the oil from flowing back down the sump.

From here we will be welding fittings in the sump (above the oil line) to vent the crank case pressure, fitting a catch to sump drain (and only using it on track days, block off for street duties), retaining that additional crank case vent to catch can then fitting 1.1mm restrictors in (and yeah, fitting a head drain too)

    • Yeah I also looked at Plazmaman, but, it ended up alot  cheaper getting black ones through EFI when you also added in the delivery cost
    • Nice shot! They look super clean. The roof rack delete on the black one is interesting. Would like to see more pictures from different angles. It's subtle but could make quite a difference to how the car looks in profile.
