  1. and it sounds cool when you're telling everyone about your Meyerhoff Lifters
  2. A simple solution would be to do a few trackdays on the Hancooks before you get the new Enkei's
  3. Zooming into your photo, those look like multi-stud...i.e. 5x100 AND 5x114.3
  4. Trust the US to use a different rating unit ? Some wise advice from the Oregon Dept of Agriculture: "Listen to your car’s engine. If it doesn’t knock when you use the recommended octane, then you are using the correct grade of gasoline." ?
  5. It's fine, US petrol is is like dirt water, our minimum octane is like premium over there... In an n/a factory tuned application you won't have any issues. The only benefit (as far as I'm aware) of using 95/98 in an n/a is some additional cleaning additives
  6. Love DIY stuff like this, wish I had the time and space to for projects like this. How will/do you go about duplicating this on the other side?
  7. Overall I prefer slim front, regular rear (we're talking about woman right?). You haven't mentioned what car, however for reference, the regular no-frills QLD plates fit perfectly in my R33 rear bar (could be aftermarket though?), and as per GTSBoy, my front bar (definitely aftermarket) recessed mounts were drilled for NSW plates which the QLD plate holes didn't seem to line up to, so for different reasons I similarly made an offset bracket.
  8. I'd put money on the first importer, so excited to have their pure JDM goodness, pull a burnout leaving the compliance centre and crashed it into a street pole.
  9. The one from the rocker cover is your crankcase to intake pipe, the other is the factory BOV return pipe
  10. Have you checked your belts? What you're describing sounds more like a loose belt
  11. I was wondering why the "Get new comment" button was taking me to the first page!
  12. Just read that MCA are going CC brakes on their S13 WTAC car.
  13. Still catching up on these but it's looking good! the amount of work involved is insane though. on another note, just got an email from Supercheap with this sneaky little ad down the bottom!
  14. e-fame & record breaking parts installation is priceless
  15. In this regard, it depends on the insurance company, I've had an experience with a previously stolen car that was written off, agreed value was paid out, i think it was about $3.5K, and I was able to buy the car back for $400 as that is what the assessor deemed the scrap value to be. Buying the car back like this though you would want to confirm it's been classed as a repairable writeoff and they'll give you a list of repairs required to re-register which i believe has to be done by a certified mechanic or at least inspected by one(?)
  16. Are the charging ports universal? Have you ever used those public/car park recharge stations?
  17. Or search for a translation as someone has already had this issue before you
  18. I think OP needs to do some research as all ECU options are continuously discussed at length
  19. No need to get upset! Just like you're airing all your thoughts, other people have the right to air their thoughts back at you! This in infact a car forum not a safe space I think what Duncan is saying is to do more interesting events not just more seat time, doing 5/6 of the same thing each year can get repetitive and boring and once you plateau on times you feel that need to upgrade. I wouldn't worry about WTAC/VTAC, those are just overpriced over-e-famed events for bigger (and sponsored) players, browse through Duncan's or Niel's build threads to see the events they do, many more and way more interesting, a bit more travel, different formats, different tracks for a fraction of the price, sounds way more fun than building up for a major event then having something fail on the day and that's it.
  20. If you're concerned about your nice tires I'd swap all four, the front tires still take a hiding on the track
  21. I'm going to start by guessing there's a 90% chance the yellow jacket coil packs will give out on the dyno and final tune deferred until replaced with splitfires, OEM or LS/Yaris/etc Conversion. may need more detail though, target boost? boost controlled with? is it an r34 NEO or r33 rb25 or possibly even an rb20? how complete is the highflow exhaust? dump back? diameter? cat?
  22. If you want to keep it original looking, the old fashioned way was to use one of those headphone jack to radio transmitters (or bluetooth is also available nowadays)
  23. Yea, sounds like you want to replace due to an arbitrary number?
  24. hmmm no "Retrofitting refers to the addition of new technology or features to older systems. "
  25. Seriously though, you could try reversing in, I have this issue at my mum's place which has the usual 45/60 degree gutter, can't go in front ways, but reversing up is fine, it would be much more severe than what that your dad's looks like
