  1. Hypergear stuff would be fantastic just they don't have any twin scroll options. Once you go twin scroll you don't go back lol. However if your budget is somewhat flexible I would consider an EFR7163 in TS with the internal gate. Would be a good match for a SR20.
  2. depends on the turbo, a 180SX I did a while back had a GTX3071 with 0.83 rear on a 6Boost TS manifold merged into a single 45mm did 351kW at 27psi. That's with super lazy timing as well. I think it would have made more, but I didn't want to push it any further as it is a track car.
  3. Ever looked into a modern twin scroll single turbo? You'll get your power goal with ease and be given an excellent power band along with fantastic transient response.
  4. Not too fast LOL.. it is a boat made for Powercruise lololol.. Here's my PB at Wakefield in a S15 with 120kW less power.
  5. Dug up some old data prior to the motor blowing up. Managed to crack the 200km/h barrier down the main straight of Wakefield Park - this back up the car was making some decent power till it spat ring lands (we all knew it was going to happen). Machinist should be back soon from his last minute holiday and I'll get the crank back then it's party time (maybe). I have a track day I'm running with Yez Racing guys so would be nice to have the car running. Let's see!
  6. I like, good amount of dose
  7. If you have issues trying to locate the rear pad they are the same as your Impreza WRX from 2001 to 2007.
  8. If you're on some what of a budget, don't discount @hypergear turbos. Their 45SAT will get you over 400kW and be decent enough to drive around town. I would recommend you go for the ball bearing version. I've been believer of Hypergear Turbos since I started using them. I'm now on my 3rd Hypergear turbo (of course bigger each time) .
  9. ^wow that would be a handful to drive going from prius power to light speed haha
  10. Either are great (Adaptronic modular vs Haltech). Comes down to user requirements before hardware requirements. Personally I use Adaptronic as it gives me way more options imaginable to fiddle with, however I prefer to tune cars running Haltech or Nistune.
  11. maybe try get a GT-R wing, I shaved 1.5 secs from my Wakefield time with just a GT-R wing set on 2nd from the most aggressive setting and nothing else done to the car. That was also my last outing as the motor blew afterwards LOL.
  12. Needs more GT Wing! The Intima Type-D take some time to get used to but once you're used to them they're great!
  13. Yeah cnuts! Removing those stupid machined screws are not fun, used those impact/hammer screw drivers and a bit of heat. I bashed the shit out of the pump like Pacquiao vs Horn and eventually all of them came out. Yay, it's not broken but who cares we are going billet! Result? Billet oil pump gears, hectics bro - can smash limiter all day like a JZ now!
  14. Actually had free time for a change, which I rarely do.. so decided to do some work on the siet bok rust bucket. I always has an issue where the camber kept changing every track day and I had a feeling the OEM camber bolts were moving so I decided to deleted the bastard with this GKtech camber lock out kit. On removing the OEM camber bolts it was evident the machined groove and offset washer weren't working correctly, most likely slipping when I'm smashing into ripple strips. Man 60% of yhe arms are Hardrace lol.. bastard should sponsor me!
  15. just to install the Spool oil pump gears and to install a new head gasket - that was it May have gotten a tiny bit carried away with the headwork but that's just it.. everything else is just pretty stock
  16. If you're keen on DBA - hit me up on the part number and the best price you're able to get them at. I will match or beat
  17. derno, Matt Wooten & TIm Burt don't seem to have issues with stock oil pump, stock rod/bolts
  18. Crank at shop, but their machinist has buggered off overseas for 4x weeks! Thinking if I should do connecting rod bolts too lol. Still stock motor
  19. nice!! going with the AO kit? or the kit from Z1 Motorsports
  20. 95 dB if you hassle them during track hiring time
  21. ........... but it's a race car? why not gates out of the bonnet or out of the quarter panel like Ryan Tuerck's car?
  22. My only advise is don't skimp.. I setup a car last week (preparing it for the dyno) and the owner had a popular-failing brand of coils which he brought new. Guess what? he now has spent more money on Splitfires to resolve his issues. His colourful coilpacks nearly shorted his ECU too when 1x of the coilpacks decided to short essentially creating a bridge between +ve & -ve.
  23. No Golf R love aye? MK6 Golf R can be had for under 30k (nearly same price as GTIs).. in stock form with a decent driver and only decent street tyres will nail down a 1m10~11 at Wakefield Park. Now imagine some R-compounds, better pads (not even brake upgrades), a better seat in the car. I suspect in the right hands a 1m7~8s, then come the suspension and power mods later down the track. Not to mention it's a direct injected motor - you'll be see power/torque from as low as 2k rpm.
