I am not really a fan of poly bushes in high load points in the suspension. I replaced large compression rod bushing with an energy suspension bushing not long after I got my car because the rubber one was split. It lasted a couple of years and started making horrible noises, I removed it and it was badly split, also because of the way it can separate in the centre, it allows a gap at each end and dirt can get in which scratches up the aluminium rod. I fitted whiteline bushes after that, they lasted longer but still let dirt and gunk in which did even more damage. I ended up ordering uprated OEM bushes, fitted these and all has been fine. I guess it depends if the stiffer bushings are a higher priority for you. For a daily, I would suggest sticking with rubber bushes.

Manual sedan has no rear hvac outlets in the centre console (at least my S2 6mt doesn't). I guess because of the hand brake and manual shifter leaves no room for the ducting.

Doesn't answer your question, but even if it is digital TV tuner, it won't work here, Japan don't use DVB-T like Aust does.

The Staggered look for sedan
sonicii replied to 4wsboy's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
stock staggered size on the V35 is 225/45/18 front and 245/45/18 rear. Rim specs are the same all round. I had these on my sedan, but changed to 245/45/18 all round which looks fine. I guess that doesn't help with how it looks on a V36 though.. -
I have had a few LEDs go out on the cluster of my V35, fortunately it was the driver transistors on the back of the board that had bad solder joints, otherwise I would have needed to remove the speedo/tacho needles to get to the front where the LEDs are and knowing my luck I would have either broken them, or never get them back on properly so would have an inaccurate speedo. Either way, not a job for the faint-hearted. Fairly unlikely to be failed LEDs, more likely a bad connector/solder joint.

Zenki skyline sedan 300GT suspension parts
sonicii replied to renan's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Sorry, I can't help much with your request. I had a look on epc-data and there isn't anything listed about coilovers for this model. That said, I highly doubt any components from Nissan will come out cheaper than an aftermarket coilover setup. for example, the Nismo optional suspension on the 350GT sedan is over $2k just for the shocks and springs for genuine parts. As far as I was aware Zenki was just Japanese for 'old' or 'series 1', where as Kouki was 'new' or 'Series 2'. Not sure that applies to the 300GT though as there was no series 2. -

hmm.. if it was bushes, I would expected to have seen some change with brakes, possibly steering linkages, but I would think that would be more obvious. I know you checked, but the only thing I can think of that lines up with the symptoms well is a loose splash guard or fender liner. Giving it a boot full of throttle shouldn't have broken anything in the front suspension, it is just there to steer and brake.

nissan skyline Nissan Skyline V35 250GT Problems
sonicii replied to Jermaine James's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
well, I wouldn't expect a fuel system issue to throw MAF related error codes. -
download the G35 FSM. http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/infiniti-g35-g37-factory-service-manuals.html Torque specs should not be different between USA and Japan. Probably won't have anything related to the transmission though.

have you checked for loose plastic inner guard covers, sounds like something slapping around in there, maybe some of the plastic clips have broken? Other than that, possibly bad bushes. Does the noise go away if you apply brakes?

nissan skyline Nissan Skyline V35 250GT Problems

If you are seeing MAF errors and are certain it isn't the MAF sensor, have you checked for vacuum leaks? -
V35 strange sound in nuteral
sonicii replied to Parksy1990's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
have you just checked the transmission oil level? Low oil will likely cause transmission noise and make shifts harder. does the noise disappear when you push the clutch in? Seat belt warning may just be a bad switch on the seat belt buckle. -
They are RWD anyway. I have heard rumours that the VDC off only partially disables VDC, and holding it down for 10sec will turn it off fully. I have never tested this though. I suggest you find a suitable location to test it (private property or race track), and give it a try. Disconnecting the yaw sensor may work too, but it will also throw plenty of warning lights.

2008 V36 to G35 Conversion
sonicii replied to VISkyline's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Since the 250GT V36 isn't eligible for import under SEVS, let alone the AWD version, I doubt you will get much certainty from anyone here. -
I assume when you specify the transmission came out of a 'coupe' means you have a sedan? In which case, which one? if you have a 250GT, the transmission is different, the 250GT has a 4sp auto, the 350GT has a 5sp. Also, you may have a 350GT-8 which has a CVT which will also be incompatible. Sorry, as above, until we know where you live, I doubt anyone will be able to recommend a good transmission shop.

Two faults with my v36
sonicii replied to Pete_Repeat's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
The clutch master and slave shouldn't care if you are at full throttle or at 1/10 throttle, it only has to release the clutch. just taking a wild guess here but perhaps the twisting of the engine/transmission under a hard launch is causing the issue, have you had the flexible hose changed? Otherwise, it could be a pressure plate or clutch fork issue. As for the tramp/shudder, I would check rear suspension bushes. Not sure about the V36, but the diff mounting bushes went bad after a while on the V35, so check these too. I don't actually have a V36, so just giving some general suggestions. -
V35 2006 Manual Center Console
sonicii replied to InfinitiG35's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
series 2/3 has the hazard light switch below the ashtray (very late 04 onwards). the series 1 dash was quite different in multiple areas. -
2004 V35, Oil light on under braking
sonicii replied to Lachlan S's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I Would agree with the others, possibly rpm dropping too low, or it could be a sender issue, if you can confirm the RPM isn't dropping below 650rpm when you press the clutch, then perhaps have the mechanic fit a pressure gauge and take it for a drive to check oil pressure figures. -
V35 2006 Manual Center Console
sonicii replied to InfinitiG35's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I suspect it is probably a generic image and doesn't reflect what the actual item looks like. But it might be worth contacting a supplier with the part number and asking them to confirm. -
Help - 370Z 19" Rays ENG Rim to fit V36 sedan
sonicii replied to 153fish's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Have you seen them on V36 Sedans before? or on V36 Coupes? if they are anything like the V35, the coupes have different guards and can fit lower offset rims. The V35 coupe rims on my V35 sedan sit flush with the edge of the guards on the rear, but are well within the guards on the coupe. -

G35 could be a V35 chassis or V36 chassis, if it is a V35, it will have the VQ35DE (280hp) or VQ35DE revup engine, if it is the V36, it will have the VQ35HR like the V36 skyline 350GT. unfortunately just the label 'Infiniti G35' doesn't define which chassis it is.
