hey everyone, Car: 1996 r33 gtst s2 Problem: Aircon isnt cold unless outside air is and heater isnt hot, dependent on outside temperature plus i need to change the blend door actuator to be changed as its 'clicking' on start up etc. i cbf taking the whole dash out, changing and testing crap plus im on a bit of a time schedule as i cant really use the garage anymore till i fit my new turbo on. anyone taken their skyline to get there their air con or heater checked out/ fixed in the South East suburbs? i prefer someone honest and knows about their skylines... cheers and thanks in advance. Hi all, Does anyone know what heater core fits series 2? I believe that series 1 will accept an R32/33/34 core, but I need to know if a series 2 will accept same. cheers DaveB

Blocking rb25det block heater hose fittings Hi Guys In the process of rebuilding my 25. Since deleting the heater, i've always had the feed and return hoses looped, now the motor is out im looking to block the fittings completely. The left fitting is threaded in. The right fittings looks pressed in. Am I ok to block these off instead of them being looped? The car is track only and looking to tidy up under the plenum. Pic attached of fittings in question. Thanks for any help.

R34 GTT climate control So the problem is that the buttons on the Climate control unit for my R34 doesn't respond when the clock that tells the time starts to spaz out. for example the minutes will go from 0:00 to 0:59 and will repeat. during the time of this malfunction I can not use any of the button on the Climate Control Unit. - I have recently put in LED's in the unit. I have gotten another unit from my other r34 and it works then the problem comes back with the clock, and no response from the buttons anyone have any idea?

Hey been trying to replace this part but not sure what it is called, looks to me like a heater tap but the auto shops never have a listing for one. Is it an actual mechanical part or is it just a hose connector? Its in the centre of the picture with the 4 hose inlets/outlets

I have had coolant poor down from behind the engine somewhere and passing down onto the ground generally when the car gets to temperature. . Rather than replace heater hoses which i think is the issue. I want to delete the heater all together. Is it a big job?

hi, cleaning out my garage and this is a bunch of bits and bobs ive had left over after owning GTR's for 5 years. was keeping them as spares etc, but car is gone, no longer need them. Most are off a R34 GTR. but alot of them fit r32 r33 and gtst skylines etc. R34 GTR factory suspension/coil overs $200 ono (good for spares incase of yellow) GTR factory front camber arms $50 R33/R34 factory washer bottle $10 R34 GTR front and side indicators $30 for both pairs (including bulbs) R32/R33 single coil pack $20 (used as spare to diagnose problems etc) GTR rb26 front left+right intercooler piping $20 each GTR rb26 air intake pipe $15 Rb26 heater/coolant hoses $20 the lot GTR rb26 factory air snorkal $20 (rare to find) high pressure rad/factory rad/oil/ caps $5 (lol) It felt like a shame to through this stuff out. Ok so I have a r34 GTT and it seems like the climate control temp is incorrect. When set to 18 it comes out cold but when I change it to 18.5 it comes out the same as it does when on 32. I have no idea and any help would be great

Hi, I have a problem with my +12 V battery supply that goes to my aircon and stereo on my R32. The stereo stopped working and going through the cables I found that I didn't get power from the battery, ie. not the ignition one, but pin E on the diagram below. Strangely, when I switched the iginition on I got some power but not 12V from that cable. As I couldn't find any other way to fix it, I wired up another permanent 12V connection and the stereo was sorted. www.installdr.com/harnesses/nissan-wiring.pdf But after I put everything back together and drove the car, I realised my aircon now has a memory problem, which means it goes back to default every time I restart the car. I assume the aircon was supplied by the same wire that feeds the stereo and keeps the memory alive. Now my question: Is this something obvious that is broken which someone has come across before, or does anyone know which pin on the aircon supplies power from the battery so I can also rewire that? I've been looking but haven't come across a pin out diagram for the aicron. Any help is much appreciated, Cheers, Chris

Hi all, Does anyone know what the thread and pitch size is for the Heater hose (return I think?) fitting/attachment that threads into the block. I assume all RBs have the same thread on these? I've uploaded a pic of it (block is upside down). It sits on the intake side near the top rear of the block. I'm doing up a RB30/25. As we all know, you have to swap out the RB30 one and put the 25 one in there because the 25 has only 1 barbed outlet for the heater hose. I had to grind the old one out of the RB30 with a dremel because it was rusted on there so badly, and thinking the RB25 one will be the same, I just want to get a brand new one. If anyone could tell me the thread and pitch size of this fitting (or even better, the Nissan part number!) that would be much appreciated for me and everyone els looking for this in the future, because I've tried googling, and googling and nothing. Not sure if correct place admin please move if needed. Half way through a RB25DET neo into R32 swap and needing to replace the heater and other hoses. from what i can gather the RB25DET Neo heater hoses are what i need but please correct me if i am wrong. apart from OEM what options are out there. i have found Misc eBay ones mainly listing RB26 or R33 25 and JJR do not list a Neo kit.

Hey guys. I recently bought a R34 GTT. It didn’t have a working aircon or heater. The aircon had lost all its gas and the heater was bypassed, I’m assuming because the Heater Core was leaking. I just got a heap of the o rings in the aircon replaced and the system re-gassed and it’s now nice and cold. Pretty keen to get the heater working too. The guy as the shop doesn’t wanna touch the heating side of it cos apparently it’s to big a job and reckons it’s gonna cost me a fortune in parts and labour. $500 part from Nissan for the heater core and heaps of labour hours taking the whole dash out and back in. Hadn’t done one before either. Has anyone got any experience in replacing the Heater Core on a R34? If anyone has a guide to doing this on a R34 I might give it a go. I saw a threat about not having to take the dash out on a R33. Is that the case on the R34 also? Or if anyone has a recommendation on a shop that specialises in Skylines that would be great?! Thanks

Had an issue for a while where my climate control unit would not not show any lights, the buttons wouldn’t work, obviously the aircon and heating didn’t work. The only thing that showed on the unit was the clock which constantly counts up and repeats constantly when powered on. I have taken it to an auto elec who had a look and he bought in a car aircon mechanic/specialist to check it out. Neither of them found any issues with fuses or the system itself. Also took the unit to another auto elec/electrician who took it apart and tested it all and it worked fine. The lights lit up and all. so far I’ve double checked all the fuses, which are all good. The unit itself has been tested and works (however not when plugged into my car). No idea how to go about this/fix it. Any advice/tips/people to contact would be great thanks!

I have for sale a great condition heater core pulled from a '89 R32 GTST. I have been told R33 GTST cores are the same dimensions but you will need to confirm this yourself before buying. There are a few slightly bent fins as would be expected with a used item but nothing that can't be fixed yourself if you're concerned. The worst is along the edges which is unavoidable as there is only foam to protect the fins there. Impact to performance of core would be minimal. Price is $100 firm for heater core and $20 for pipes, can sell separately. Postage at buyers expense, it will cost you whatever it costs me.

Guys and Gals, I have for sale a set of 4 TE37s in 17 x 9.5" with a +12ish offset (not 100% sure). They have been resprayed in satin black (were originally bronze as the back side of the face has not been sprayed and you can see it), and they have nismo decals instead of the Rays Engineering and TE37 ones. All four rims have light rash and a few paint chips on the spokes, as whoever had them before me obviously couldnt drive to save their life, however in saying that, they could be easily repaired. No dents or buckles, they roll true. They come free with a set of shagged Toyo R888, as i used them as my track rims. Had them on my white R32 GTR and it looked tough as. Will no longer be needing them as doing a brake upgrade and they wont fit inside the rims anymore, so they gotta go. Price $2000 or best offer.
