  1. Can't open that file! Looks like those Motordyne exhausts were quite expensive so I appreciate you don't want to dump it. Did they offer a silencer as an optional extra? If not it may be cheaper to replace the mufflers at the end rather than install two resonators half way down (assuming that you have two pipes).
  2. Not easy to mod so pod filter and exhaust probably it. Would have thought transmission shop had a scanner. Ring the auto electricians first and see if they have the Nissan Scan tool - otherwise you might need to go to a Nissan dealer.
  3. Yep I had a nice Cressida 2.8 many years ago. I was just about to change my Skoda Superb 2.7 for an Audi Allroad 2.7TT when I got to the bit where it said to service the turbos first remove the engine so for now I have settled for a boring but reliable (almost beige) 2005 Camry V6
  4. RIPS has adapted powerglides to big HP awd cars (GTR and Stagea)
  5. Good idea. I was going to suggest selling it and getting the best RS6 you could afford.
  6. On the face of those offsets look way out. Read the thread and work it out for yourself.
  7. Venom makes bolt-ons for GTT etc for $250 but I guess all the RB guys want 100 cell (or none) as he doesn't list a 200 cell ready made. You could try him for a quote. Or you could get one of these and weld it in: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-inch-76mm-High-Flow-Metallic-Race-Cat-Converter-200-Cell/251517879059?hash=item3a8fa24313:g:vLAAAMXQNo5TXtZ2
  8. Was your tank low on fuel? Uneven ground?
  9. An inline VH45de from a Fuga or something like the below would give you some grunt: https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/nissan/engines/listing-2154613139.htm?rsqid=b1d4fc303ef64319b70facb103b34613-001
  10. Apparently some early fuel pumps do not like E85. Answer- replace with one which is apparently compatible with E85.
  11. Sorry if I wasn't clear - I meant the bits needed to make it work as per OEM (with fuel injection) are readily available... so the easiest route. I don't see any haters on this thread - if you want multiple carbs in your Z fire away... I just see people trying to save you from a world of headaches!. My first sports car was an Austin 7 hill climb special with twin Amal carbs and I later had an Austin Healey 3000 with twin SUs (they gave up on the triple carbs) but when my work mates blew me away with their (fuel injected) V6 Capris I saw the light. Tuning with EFI is so much more precise.
  12. You don't really say why you want to do this. Is it just because you have a carburettor lying around? You have an RB engine ...the bits you need to make it work are readily available (second hand if necessary) as is all the info. If you are a masochist or you just want to be different go for it.
  13. No this stuff:
  14. How's it going? Did you have the fuel line and FPR all plumbed correctly?
  15. Probably easier, cheaper and better to get a set of GTT or GTR rears. I used GTR rears and D2 8 pot fronts and they were adequate to stop my heavy RB30 powered Stagea on the track lap after lap . BM57 M/C and Pagid pads.
  16. Nobody takes their engine out to change the timing belt. There are a few "how to"s in this site e.g. https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/73824-adj-camshaft-pulley-new-cam-belt/
  17. Presume it was RWD which makes it easier. This would be a good time to stick a manual box in it!? Just need rings and bearings on the RB30 and its good for 400kw! You will need another ECU for the Nistune. I believe they can handle VCT now?
  18. Most guys probably do it themselves - just be carefull to keep everything clean and watch out for odd parts falling out. Otherwise just ring around a few auto transmission shops for a quote.
  19. I wouldn't have thought the pipe cleaner was doing anything useful. Pull it out and see how much oil is attached to it
  20. Personally I preferred the previous colour and wheels - but now it will certainly stand out in the crowd!
  21. A good tune is so important that its not worth going to the nearest or cheapest. If no-one comes up with an ace in Geelong take your car to Melbourne for best results.
  22. You won't need a crank collar unless the crank is damaged. Bore and stroke here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_RB_engine
  23. Wouldn't think knock sensor would stop you starting. Maybe try to figure out what made your fuse blow (has it blown again?).
  24. Check the numbers its very likely the same box: RE4Ro1A At 300,000 seems like the RB25DE will just buy you some time while you save for another car!!
