  1. Depends on your access to E85. If you can't be sure of a supply then flex fuel is indicated. There will be little difference in cost of the installation but a bit more time on the dyno.
  2. No mate not even close - that's a Pathfinder? S1 Stagea should be 23740 OV300 or 301 or 310 (Hitachi) S2 should be something like 23710 OV800 (Jecs)
  3. I see you have 2 posts so I guess your many questions were not asked on this forum. There is a huge wealth of info on RBs on this forum and if you read carefully you will, like I did, learn heaps that you didn't know before.
  4. Welcome - got any car now or saving for a Skyline?
  5. Must be a rare beast in Canada! Auto or manual? A Nistune chip would optimise performance and fuel economy. You could spend thousands (a couple or ten) to make it go faster but for reliability go through the do it yourself section and the maintenance section to help with replacing all fluids (engine, transmission, brakes) with new stuff (may not have been done in almost 20 years) and I guess particularly in Canada make sure you have fresh antifreeze of the correct specification. If the coils look like the original ones you could forestall future problems by getting new OEM coils or Splitfires and check and if necessary change the plugs. See if the coil looms look old and cracked as they can be purchased for not too much $$. And spend a bit of time going through the Stagea section - lots of good stuff there!
  6. So are you running a brand new clutch fan or a GKTech fan? If the latter does it fit nicely with the OEM shroud?
  7. As far as I know the n/a R33 had 265mm rotors and presumably the calipers to suit. Why on earth would someone fit them to an R34? I presume your car is n/a so as above...just leave them alone - get some better pads if you want. If on the other hand you have a turbo car you should look for a full set of GTT brakes which might cost a bit but would be well worth it.
  8. Certainly don't ask the cop - he will just issue another notice with the correct details. Hope you got a name from the cop who advised you to remove the yellow sticker. Solicitor will clarify legal position for you. If you didn't give him your name and address and he has your licence number wrong I wouldn't think it will be a problem. Especially if you are sure that the defect notice is wrong anyway.
  9. Quaife offer a six speed sequential with a choice of ratios and gear types: https://shop.quaife.co.uk/nissan-skyline-gtr-6-speed-sequential-gearbox
  10. Saw your message (have replied) before this post. Splitfires, a FMIC and a 3in exhaust are a good start. Also assume its RWD rather then AWD? BTW whatever you do it will be a gas guzzler compared to a Golf TDI!
  11. Looks good - let us know if it works with your car!!!
  12. Hi Gavin Would think that you could take a bit off the pistons without too much trouble. If you tried to excavate the head I would think it very hard to do without upsetting the flow characteristics and also difficult to have each combustion chamber the same.
  13. The clue is in the thread. Star from TDC and then its about 6mm per 5 deg so you should be able to work out what your marks stand for.
  14. Got a booking with the tuner? Let us know how it goes...
  15. Should have 7 marks, TDC and then 5 deg increments up to 30. Do you have TDC plus 3 marks? Could be 10, 20, 30. Compare with the picture you will find in this thread (or measure a mate's crank pulley) https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/73824-adj-camshaft-pulley-new-cam-belt/ What kind of ecu do you have? Did you get any charts with the car? Some combos are super laggy and won't do much until wound up. Have a look through the RB25 turbo upgrade section in Forced Induction and see what other people are achieving with the Holset Hx35.
  16. Hi there. Depends on what you want to achieve. Why do you want to increase the clearance when you already have enough? It would be pretty hard to do by machining the head. People who want to decrease the compression ratio usually try a thicker head gasket ...but low CRs are so last century!
  17. Here is a PDF (hopefully).... Transfer case rebuild or upgrade.pdf
  18. Method attached. I haven't done it myself just saved it from another member in case I should need it one day. Transfer case rebuild or upgrade.doc
  19. They are both working fine for me. Try another browser (i am using Firefox).
  20. Pic 1 looks like a crack - or did that clean up?
  21. I fear not many members have an R35 GTR to play with and I suspect most modified VR38s are built in the big workshops. Interested to follow your progress though!!
  22. Dunno but while you have the head off ideally get it crack tested but at least put a straight edge on it.
  23. Don't worry about contacting your tuner. Get on this forum https://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/ and ask around for a tuner near you who has good knowledge of the RB engines.
  24. The maximum draw I have seen on any chart is under 30 amps - maybe there is an error in the wiring?
  25. Stick the engine in and find out.
