  1. I believe that the DE has a separate TCU but the turbo model has the TCU built into the ECU. Remember that the R34 (S2 Stagea) has tiptronic control whereas the R33 (S1 Stagea) does not.
  2. Disconnect it and see. Check also the plug and associated wiring.
  3. Just to be clear you have a S2 C34 Stagea? So you would need an R34 auto trans if its from a Skyline. That ecu is for an AWD DE Here are some pinouts (not sure they all work but 1 or 2 should: Pinouts R34_ecu.pdf R34 pinouts text version.odt R34 Pinouts with wire colours.ods
  4. You are testing it while driving, not revving it in neutral?
  5. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/nissan/ecus/auction-1644352309.htm?rsqid=579930a4702d428ab47440e604d865b7
  6. There is a number of manufacturers including Cusco and G-tech who use offset bushes "to give extra wheel clearance" (assuming you put them on the right way round).
  7. Yep like me pulling up a heavy Stagea from 250 on the back straight and a bit less on the front straight at Pukekohe lap after lap (330mm D2s with Pagid pads) - should be a piece of cake with a light weight race car.
  8. Just go with the K-sport etc big brakes - they bolt straight on to the Skyline, Stageas not sure about S chassis
  9. Sorry was going to tell you how to do it bur realised mine was an AWD sump on an RB30. But same solution I guess - braze and bend some extra pipe to make sure the pick up sits as low as possible.
  10. If you have a short trip to work your gearbox may not work properly if you don't have an auto radiator. Why do you want an aftermarket one? Do you have overheating problems?
  11. Hello to you too! Try to write proper sentences. How do you want your aftermarket manifold to be different from the stock one i.e. what is its purpose?
  12. Hi there - how about some pics of your beast?
  13. Why did you change to 7s anyway>
  14. Gidday! Read the M35 condensed thread which should give you a good introduction to your car!
  15. Autech has no special handling qualities over the stock stagea. I built an RS4T into a much better car than the Autech - RB30 with 330AWKW, GTR gearbox and diffs, Bilstein suspension, 330mm brakes, adjustable arms etc etc and it was tolerable but no match for my mates lightweight WRX. Forget the R33 GTR start with an R32 if you want to track it.
  16. Couldn't really read your chart anyway. To get low down torque on my heavy Stagea I got a GT3582 .63 a/r and as you can see from my charts it worked much as planned (although top end was limited). This was on an RB30 but could work on your car too.
  17. Here's a source of gearbox information: https://www.jdmjunkies.ch/wordpress/2016-06-07/240z-transmissions-manuals-swap-possibillities/
  18. I wouldn't bother investing in a Link unless you have radical mods in mind...and even then a Nistune chip can probably handle it for a lot less money.
  19. You really need the big box RB25 Gearbox as the RB20 one won't last long with 300kw. What box is in the Z?
  20. Hi Volta! How about a bit more info on your car?!
  21. Hi Tomzern Nice looking Z On the face of it an RB20 is too small for your Z (although at least its not as heavy as the 260). If its all you have then with a decent turbo and a bit of work it shouldn't be too sluggish and it can sound the part anyway! Good luck
  22. The ecu has sensor measuring manifold pressure not airflow.
  23. ^^^ what he said. Get some 10mm hubcentric bolt on spacers.
  24. Very good. Is it a track car and was it a simple bolt up thing?
