  1. I bought my earlier written off Stagea just because I knew the value of the parts in it. I had no intention of putting it back on the road but just bought another Stagea and swapped all the good bits on to it. I would offer to buy the wreck. Let them name a price first - it could well be less than what you are prepared to pay!
  2. If you really want to use S15 injectors the trick is to buy a dozen or more if you are getting them cheap and use the best eight. The last time i bought injectors was about 8 years ago and I got 550 sidefeeds from DW and basically that';s all they do - buy lots of second hand Jecs and after cleaning them match them into groups of six - but if I were building an engine today I would get new injectors.
  3. See if you can clean the connectors that go into the back of the cluster. Look for brittle solder and touch up with a soldering iron. Check your battery terminals for cleanliness and tightness.
  4. This is 2018 so there are not going to be many low mileage RB25DETs around. Your best bet is a rebuilt motor where someone has written off the car. Have a trawl through the parts for sale section of this site.
  5. You don't need minimum values. Turn the key and drive away (so long as you have oil pressure). Don't thrash it until its warmed up (70 to 80 deg C) . Oil pressures will vary a lot according to the state of your engine, grade of oil used, state of tune etc. Do some reading and you will find what some people consider acceptable. 10psi per 1000 rpm is a very rough rule of thumb but very different pressures may be fine too. There are no hard and fast maxima. You will have to do some research and decide your own. Over 100degC is getting hot but a strong engine will tolerate more for a while. The pressurised cooling system is designed raise the boiling point. Oil over 120C is getting hot but fully synthetic will tolerate high temps better than mineral oil. In short carry on driving and do a lot of reading and come to your own conclusions.
  6. A built RB26 is going to cost you a lot more than $8k A stock one will need a calendar to measure the 1/4 mile.
  7. Or the switch has jammed. Check the bulbs ...its possible they both failed.
  8. You've answered your own question. The love has gone - just cut your losses and don't buy another car until you can afford one that doesn't require a fortune to fix ...in fact do you really want a project or do you just want a car you can drive?
  9. Hi ...how about some photos of your cars?
  10. The crank collars I used to sell are made in large quantities on CNC equipment and do not vary at all or from Tomei or other collars. It is obvious that the person who turned down the crank made a mistake or just did not know what a shrink fit is... in this case the crank needs to be left 0.05 to 0.1mm larger in diameter than the ID of the collar.
  11. Not if you can make the idiot who made the mistake rectify it at his expense. Plus the holes drilled in the nose of the crank should be filled with weld. But failing that I guess you could get a new custom crank collar made but unless you had the means to make it yourself it would not be cheap.
  12. Its meant to be a shrink fit. No loctite. If the grubscrews have been screwed into the crank you can be sure the collar has been fitted improperly. The fix is to build up the crank with weld and machine it down to the correct size to achieve a shrink fit.
  13. RB25 big box or GTR box cut and shut.
  14. Assuming your case is 2wd there should be no problems due to the different wheel diameters. VDC should work against doing skids. If your car allows you to turn it off you should do that while attempting skids.
  15. I can see them via the top link using Firefox
  16. They should be OK but Iridiums better. If you still have stock coils are your plugs gapped down to ).8mm?
  17. From memory they pull straight out but no longer have the car to check.
  18. Nissan Or if you want to spend more money - Turbosmart or Tomei (but beware - lots of Tomei knock-offs around.
  19. If nothing else pull some out and have a look. Might persuade you to go mad and buy a set.
  20. Try NDSII lite (Nissan Data Scan) - and no I haven't got an ELM tool. There is also Econ Tool for Nissan ELM327 (These are in my Samsung phone Play Store)
  21. I guess it gets pretty hot in Western Australia but do you know you need an oil cooler? Maybe a bigger radiator would be better? If you do need an oil cooler I would expect a 350Z or Infiniti one would fit. BTW I am currently driving a 350 powered Maxima which has not been overheating ...although max temps here are about 28 - 30 deg C on what we call a hot day.
