  1. Hi! Please post up some pics of your car!!
  2. You need an auto electrician but for free go to a place that sells batteries and just tell them that your battery keeps going flat - they will check your alternator out put and battery and if you are lucky may find a (the) fault. And if it was the mechanic that fitted your alternator consider getting another mechanic if he couldn't be bothered to check his work.
  3. I keep dumping and refilling until it runs clean...that's what it took me.
  4. R33 Has a metal Mitsubishi CAS 23731 02U11 Neo has plastic Hitachi CAS 23731 5L 300 Are you sure your head can't be repaired?
  5. R32 has a cable drive going from gearbox to back of speedo head. If the cable is there check to see if the inner cable is broken.
  6. Buy a brand new pump not a used one out of a GTR. Many pumps will do but the Walbros will do the job. If you want to just do it once put the bigger one in so you don't have to change it to get to your new power target in the future.
  7. Gidday! Great car...do you have any problems with the law regarding the steering wheel being on the wrong side?
  8. Or of you're keen get a Nistune chip and tune it.

  10. Ok sorry, didn't look too hard at the generator but there are electric start versions about... Many buildings have emergency generators set up to start automatically in a power outage so the technology must be fairly common. Obviously you only need a small version but the principles should be well understood.
  11. And check the CAS - it could have seized bearings.
  12. Haven't got a car to look at just now but I think you need to pull up the plate at the bottom of the door and pull the door rubber back to remove the trim to get at the ecu and there are a total of 2 or 3 I think nuts to remove. Then undo the 10mm bolt in the middle of the plug and pull the plug out and then remove the ecu.
  13. Can you not have a generator set up to start when the mains power is off (and vice versa)? Generators are not that expensive: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GenTrax-Inverter-Generator-3-5KW-Max-3KW-Rated-Portable-Silent-Camping-Petrol/153040875857?epid=14022448432&hash=item23a1f27151:g:5VAAAOSwwNtbem2v:rk:12:pf:0 The relays to start and stop it should not be that hard (too hard for me but not some electronically able person).
  14. If you have power at the switch the fuses are probably fine. Concentrate on the switch - is it moving freely when you push the pedal down? You have power one side of the switch do you have power the other side when the pedal is depressed? If not adjust or replace the switch.
  15. How does a manual conversion make a difference unless the gearbox is out of something different - in which case doesn't putting the auto speedo drive in the manual box fix it (unless you have an R32 box I guess)?
  16. There are people who repair them but Google to find them. Unless you know an electronics whizz who can spot a dodgy component.
  17. Sure you have the right fuse? 15amp one in the middle? With the key on you have no power either side of the fuseholder (one probe to earth and the other testing each side one at a time)? Tried a new fuse just to be sure? You have power at the switch but does the switch work as it should (circuit completed when brake pedal leaves it)?
  18. Does your brother have a Power FC as well? Try swapping it over. Better to repair or replace your ecu before you waste the tuner's time (and your dollars).
  19. Good reason to keep the stock system - bring in cold air from the outside instead of engine heat.
  20. If you just want to light them up just hide a switch under the dash and turn it on with the other hand when you turn the key (if that is required). Otherwise take the power from the lighter circuit or something similar (glove box lighr).
  21. I don't know of any Nissan with that low a front diff ratio. The R34 GTR front (and rear) is 3.545. R32 and R33 GTRs are 4.1 The GTS4 is 4.375 I believe changing the front diff is best done engine out but someone may know better.
  22. A Power FC is no different from any other ECU in needing to be tuned for the turbo injectors etc that you have fitted. It has no magic properties that allows it to tune itself. Nistune would be the cheapest but I believe Hypergear is selling Adaptronics so you may be able to get one, with a good enough tune to drive to a tuner, supplied with it.
  23. 1. Nissan 2 Try another locksmith
  24. To save unnecessary problems identify your local engineer and have a talk about your plans so you can be sure everything you do will comply without having to re-do things.
